Good news. They weren't letting this kid slip through their fingers.

and yes, it is now Jesper Fast (not Fasth, as his name was when he was drafted in 2010)!

Watched this kid play, he looked really good. This is good news, I suspect his injury set him back a little bit but he is just like his name portrays.

Edit: I don't want him in the AHL if he doesn't make the NHL. Let him stay in the SEL.

I think this kid has a decent chance to be pretty good. He's 21 despite being drafted in 2010. He might need a year of AHL conditioning to get adjusted to the North American game, like Hagelin and Erixon. Pretty excited to see what this kid can bring.

There was a report last week about Fast signing with the Rangers and he would loaned to his team in Sweden for 12-13.

I'm pretty stoked about this kid, I hope he pans out well for us. Something about late round Swedish draft picks tickles my fancy.

This burns a year off of his ELC anyway, right?

Also, here's a video of him breaking his foot.

Top-six scoring winger. Shades of Loui Eriksson in Dallas. Great two-way game, vision, and scoring ability, but has some grit to his game as well. Doesn't shy away from the dirty areas.

Let's hope he doesn't turn out to be another overrated, overhyped prospect like Christian Thomas; hoping for a Hagelin type personally.

What? Let the kid at least get to the AHL before passing judgement. So far he has played well above his size. He is still one of our top prospects.

Finally! Reading the updates about him had me so excited to see what he can do. And hopefully management drafts more Swedes, they are gold on this team.

He was already producing very well in an upper echelon league, not major junior.

I hope they sign Lindberg. There was a report from Sweden last week about the Rangers not having started negotiations with Lindberg's agent who is Jay Grossman.

Kurt Overhardt represents Fast.

Great news! Probably will be loaned back to the SEL though. No need to rush him, especially that he lost a year of development.
Now get Lindberg signed.
