I would put the blame more on Bowman for not getting a decent Dman to replace Campbell. If we dont find that guy this year, it will force Q's hand again.
Go back a few years and look at what older posters wanted to do with Keith. Leddy will be fine. Young defenseman that aren't physically imposing make mistakes and look foolish, and draw ire from fans for it.
Leddy will be a solid part of this defense for some time.

Considering Montador was almost never used on the PK, averaging about 7 seconds of PK time per game, this statement is laughable.
That average is hugely skewed from the Oct. 28th game against Carolina, where he got 1:51 SHTOI. Excluding that crazy outlier, his average is way lower. Guess how much time he averaged last year in Buffalo? 2:04 SHTOI/G.
Buffalo managed an 83% PK with Montador playing huge minutes, but in Chicago when our PK was totally borked, none of the coaches even considered using Montador for any significant amount of PK time. Instead they played noted PK specialist, Nick Leddy.

yeah, things like that make me curious on if Stan does research on his players when he gets them. Like when he traded for Frolik "The NHL website says you're a center! You're our number two center! You've never played center in the NHL? You haven't played center since when?? Oh. Well get out there, you're center now!"

I don't see it.
Considering he played PK in Buffalo and was good at it (Infact when he was signed it was one of the better attributes) ,, I would say 5 on 4 he would be fine
Why Q didn't use him on PK is ? and further leads to argument that many of Hawks problems are coach related not roster related
If you think playing Montador over Leddy would of resulted in a much improved PK, you are dreaming. Sure, he may have been slightly better, but he still would of sucked.
but it was a year to early. He still needs to learn to play 5vs5 and on the PP. step after step. Rookie year was 5-5, last year should have been 5-5 + PP; next year should have been 5-5, PP & PK
