I wouldn't be surprised, but Peyton Hillis did get on the cover of Madden with a fan vote.

I don't think it's rigged.

Rinne is getting a **** load of votes from Finnish fans in Europe and I think that's why he's gotten so far.

If that's the case, it's going to be extremely tough to beat him...Isles fans (in some ways) carried us. Some of them would drop 2K votes a day, some would reach 3K, but majority voted maybe 1K or a little bit less...and after all of that they STILL lost, so we're going to need all the help we can get to try and beat Rinne.

I got the "Finnish fans voting for Rinne" from Preds fans.

As for the votes Isles fans were casting, you can find that on their board, they have a thread like this except (last I checked) it's close to 30 pages long of them discussing the thousands of votes they've been casting for JT and Giroux.

I've seen people saying they're voting for Rinne because a goalie hasn't been on the cover since 97. I'm not sure if I like Giroux chances but I'll still be voting for him.

Yeah, sucks Tavares didn't make it. Rinne is going to be really hard to beat. Goalie + Euro + repping the West. I hope G wins, though.

And Canadian fans are most likely voting for Giroux so I don't see a problem

Does anyone else think the unlimited-vote system is a bit stupid? I mean, the vote could be between Lundqvist and...Rinaldo. There could be 900 legitimate voters who want Lundqvist on the cover but they'd be trumped by one fella sat on his own at home with too much time on his hands.

One vote per day leads to much more genuine responses.

People who really want to vote that many times will find a way i.e. create more emails.

exactly, this way it gauges passion. Its the most transparent way to do it.

Also, if you said 1 vote per IP adress Montreal would win every year

I think the league is actually on board with G, thats why he beat MALKIN!
