My guy is already an offensive d-man. I've got something like 5 goals and 20 assists in 20 games as an offensive d-man. Should probably re-name him to Gilbert or Spurgeon though since Heatley is a forward.
We have a bit of a theme on the team: The player has to be either a prospect or a former/current Wild who is either a scapegoat or no-name. Or well, at least that's what I figured. Hence me naming my forward Antti Miettinen (complete with the look and real size) and my D-man Greg Zanon (again, complete with the look and size). I wasn't sure about Zanon actually because he used to be one of my favorite Wild players but I couldn't come up with anyone else either.
That being said, if you could pull off Spurgeon it would be awesome. But don't go for Gilbert if you can avoid it. Bonus points if you go with Petteri Nummelin.
I still remember laughing my ass off when BHoke named his player "Warren Peters"
Oh, and I'm starting to understand Fel's vendetta against other French Canadian players. Jesus ****ing Christ most of them are annoying.
By the way, if you've got a mic, put it on. It helps a lot to be able to communicate during the game - if you can put up with my English that is. It's always funny to play with Fel when we're essentially speaking a different language while speaking the same language - it's so different when one speaks French as mother tongue and other speaks Finnish. Our spelling and punctuation is so different, it's unbelievable. His English is better though. I'm not saying this because it bothers me (it doesn't, at all), it's just quite amazing really.
If you're ever wondering why I spell certain words strangely, it's because I have a slight spelling issue with the letter "R". It's nothing major but it may be noticeable sometimes. Thought I would just point it out. Feel free to correct my spelling by the way, I won't be offended.
Communication is really quite important in this game, obviously we will develop better chemistry once we play more as a team but it's so much easier to just say things to other guy or let them know about something rather than writing about it after the game with the horrible PS3 chat system. So, if you got the mic, use it.

The only reason I haven't used my mic is because no one else has when I've played with you guys.
That seems pretty cool Puhis. I only wonder how it would work if someone signed up as a GM and than went inactive during the season. Would their games just be simmed?
Also, just saw that video EA showed about "True Performance Skating" and it looks really cool. Finally they are going to put momentum in this game...I never understood how players could go to a dead stop and than just skate around me faster than I could move.

NCAA and ECHL would be good as well, but the real reason I want KHL is because I want to be able to play intl. tournaments like IIHF WC with REAL rosters instead of having to make an Olympic team or something. Over half of our roster plays in KHL currently. Besides, would be good to see how KHL teams compare to their NHL counterparts.
Don't you think they'd have to get the NCAA before getting KHL???
NCAA isn't going to happen. We've seen the huge issues EA faced with NCAA football, and that didn't have named rosters. While I think it would be cool to have, it's just not going to be added.
The only issue with getting KHL is the league probably wants too much money for the relatively meager interest. The NHL games are sold to Canadians first, Americans second, and the rest of the world seems to be an afterthought for that particular studio. I imagine EA's content with what they have for rosters at the moment. Once they decide they would do well to add more leagues, I'd think it would go KHL before ECHL before NCAA.

Idk man. I remember reading quotes from EA developers leading up to NHL 10 and they were asked about the NCAA and they said that they were in negotiations with the NCAA about including their players in the game and it was all going well but they ran out of time before NHL 10 came out. They then said they would probably have it all sorted out by NHL 11.
Now that 12 has come and gone and 13 is on its way I'm not sure what the outlook is, but it was at least on the table at one point.
