Rimouski Oceanic next year

How will they do next year? I don't follow CHL much because I don't catch any games but i've alwayed loved Rimouski because they have an amazing logo & jersey lol. Do they have any up and coming top young kids? What is their strength and weakness, and if they have any top players.

they'll have a very young def full of potential.

A very good 17 to goalie in Desrosiers.

no offense at all. They lose both euros too so they'll have to replace them.

if Mallet comes back, and they find very good euros, they can be surprising.

2014 should be their year.

MLalancette Maxim Gravel jouera avec l'Océanic de Rimouski l'an prochain.

Was going to go the NCAA route.
He played midget AAA with CEB last season and appeared for Québec at the U17's.

No surprise there, was expected.

Their just got stronger... Gravel and Boudreau will be sick together.

Also look for something to be going Saint John's way at the draft as part of the Gravel/Oke deal.

Gauthier has been drafted like 9th overall in the NCAA draft and most rimouski fans don't expect him the be there next year.

Maybe after his draft year, when their defense will be more mature (it's filled with 17 years old next year) and their goalie.

they have a brilliant future but aren't close to be mature now. The lost of Guillaume Gauthier will hurt too.

talented but simply too young. They need Mallet's return, as well as 2 solid euros to even think middle of the pack next year.

2014 and 2015 they will be deadly though.

Wasnt he 8th in the Q draft ? I think he'll be there... Don't forget Gravel will help recruit him. Why did they trade Guillaume Gauthier and what did the get for him ?

they traded him to get a pitch on this year (it worked as Mathieu was a key part of their playoffs run.

2012-01-07 Rimouski Drummondville Emond, Alex (1991-09-16)
Gauthier, Guillaume (1995-09-12)
Rd_5, 2012

Drummondville Rimouski Mathieu, Jean-Philippe (1991-03-31)
Rd_3, 2013

As for Fred Gauthier, he stated that he wants the scholarship and will re-evaluate when he gets drafted.

Even Boucher said he is not expecting him this year.

And BTW, we can't say he have reported until he's on the lineup in september next season.

Boucher could of lied... Id be stunned if Mike Kelly didnt get some insurance..

Absolutely amazes me that they have got both Gravel and Deluca to commit. This team was strong last year and should be even stronger this year if they can get their new young guns to gel together and find some chemistry. Peter Trainor is scary good. He has gobs of talent if you use him correctly. I think we will once again see this team make a very strong playoff push!

Rimouski added to their great pool of 95s with Kostalek.. I think we can confirm that they will be GREAT in 2014-15 if non graduate to NHL.

Jan Kostalek - CZE, 6'0'' 176 lbs - I heard that we is a good puck moving defenseman.

Vladimir Bryukvin - RUS, 6'0'' 159 lbs - I can't find anything about him.

Does anyone have any info on them?

That's a good thing that they get a defenseman because i though that it was one of their biggest needs for the next season. I hope that Bryukvin will come in NA because the lost of Mallet will hurt. I don't think that Boucher would have picked this guy if he wasn't sure that he will come next year but you never know ...
