Been a long time since '03.

But I'm calm which I didn't expect, give it a few more hours before I start to go crazy.

Nobody expects this team to win tonight, so win it.

Spent all year defying expectations, might as well keep on rolling.
Can't make the playoffs, can't win without shootouts, can't win with Marty, can't win with Kovy, can't beat the Flyers, can't score on Lundqvist, can't beat the Rangers, can't can't can't.

Keep proving everybody wrong, Devils

I've shaved. Don't be alarmed because I have shaved before every series in the playoffs so far.

I was physically ill last series. The whole way through. It probably took years off my life.

This series, this feels like gravy right now. Not nearly as nervous, just pumped. Of course I want them to win, but losing this series actually wouldn't hurt nearly as much as losing the previous series would have.

I don't think you ever get used to this. I wasn't old enough to vividly remember 1995, but the following Cups, well there certainly was an expectation for those teams to go deep and win. There was more nervousness then. This team was predicted by most to miss the playoffs or barely sneak in. I personally didn't think they had a chance to win even a single round in the playoffs. This is just like a dream now. A magical run that wouldn't be spoiled by a SCFs loss. Winning the Cup would be absolutely amazing, but I'm damn proud of this team right now, and I'll still be proud regardless of the outcome of this series.

You would have to see a straight up banana curve to exceed that.
I didnt know this either, not sure HTH I missed it.

But if they even so much as tinker with a minor adjustment to any given piece of goalie equipment, I'm your guy.

I will be LOVING that, if it actually happens. Patty seems like the kind of guy that could really have his fire lit by being shamed. Over the years, angry Patty has often been the best Patty.

same here. Amazingly calm. Like CJ, I have no expectations except to be surprised at who will impress me most. Every round has had someone different step up and deliver while someone else goes quiet.

I will say the thing I like most right now is the guys already have it in their heads to shoot high because of Hank last round, and Quick gets super super low in traffic to see the puck so they don't have to adapt where to shoot much at all.

Tonight will be a very interesting game. Let's put some doubt in the Kings mind. I heard a analyst say that they didn't look unbeatable in their last 2 games. Hopefully, they have come back to earth. Go Devils!

The Devils are the little engine that could this season. They do best as underdogs, and they are underdogs in this series. I want them to shock the Kings and their fans tonight.

Dude, enjoy every second of it. I was at two games in 2003. You don't really realize while you're there how absolutely special it is...

I know this sounds crazy, but the NY Post actually has an interesting Q&A with Pete Deboer in which I learned new things!

I'm not that much more nervous/anxious compared to any other playoff game. I really want to make sure I enjoy these games this time around.
