Markov won't be kept after his contract expires because of Beaulieu. Gives the kid two years to mature and learn. Works out well.

With Kaberle, Diaz, Weber, and Subban I would be surprised if Beaulieau got any game time in at all this season, with or without Markov.

Unless of course they are having another awful season and he's doing great in Hamilton and they bring him up for a cup of coffee just for fun.

NB needs AT LEAST a year in the AHL. He's rawer than even Subban was leaving junior....

very curious as to why you include Plekanec among disappointments such as Higgins, Maxwell and Perezoghin?? the guy gets more and more under-rated with each passing day...

Plekx isn't 6 foot 3 so people will always find reasons to hate on him.

No one really, but the Habs need to sign John Westin before Friday or they lose his rights. I assume he will not be signed. There's also Scott Kishel who needs to be signed before August 15th but i'm guessing he won't be signed either. DeSimone is a UFA that had a good year with the Dogs so if they want to bring him back he'll need to be signed at some point although with the lack of roster space I guess we'll see if they do offer him a contract or not.

He's 21 for a couple more weeks but yea I agree he should be in the AHL but he won't be.

Really ? Nothing to write home about. Let's sign new fresh blood, more skilled forwards for that team.

With Beaulieu now being signed and already have under contract Tinordi Ellis and Greg Pateryn Hamilton will have a young wall of defense. Who will be the other 3 tha will fill up the remaining spots available?

Also we need a defensive specialist ie... Larry Robinson (never happen) or a Eric Desjardins to go work with these 4 kids and build them into the right potential.

DeSimone outscored all the Hab prospects on the Dogs except Palushaj and Enqqvist. Not that I would or wouldn't sign him, just stating that he did have a good rookie year and if they want to bring him back he's a UFA.

I hope they give two or three games to NB, JT and ME if they play well, just so they get a taste of NHL play. It can definitely help them know what they have to work on and reward them at the same time.

The prospects look very good and I'm glad to have them but let's not get too giddy. I'd take McDonagh over Beaulieu, Tinordi, or Ellis.

You got to consider that McDonagh is 3 yrs older than all 3.3yrs more experience is a big difference.
Lets wait 3 seasons and see how Beaulieu, Tinordi, and Ellis turn out and then compare them to this seasons McDonagh .We could be surprised.

The Bulls are looking good for the next 2 years. Makes you want them to move to Laval ASAP

Kind of fitting that the first signing made by Bergevin on the player's front is a big piece for the Habs' future. Only a matter of time before Beaulieu dawns the bleu-blanc-rouge but for now it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun watching him play in Hamilton. He's going to rip it apart there, I feel.

Hamilton's defense will be damn impressive next year holy cow! And BIG + SKILLED. They should be impossible to score on and able to put the puck in the net too.

Do we need to sign a goaltender or is Hamilton okay in that department?

Who else would he sign? He can't sign really any impending UFAs without knowing the coach's plan and the RFAs are also a piece of the future

Just rambling, don't mind me.

I'm just happy that they signed him.

Delmas should do well for them, if given the chance.

I'm very happy for Beaulieu and wish him to stay healthy during all his professional career. (and to score goals-assists, set the play, carry the puck, etc...)

I'm surprised that you guys didn't put Ian Schultz in the Bulldogs' line-up. I heard that he could drop gloves and was fine defensively. Plus, I wanted to get more from Eller - Halak trade and this guy came with it. Will Schultz have another chance or is it already over for him?

I definitely want Schultz to succeed as well, but not so much because of the Halak trade as I think Eller on his own will be just great. But Ian is just such a likable guy, how can you not root for someone like that? He might turn out to be a career AHL'er but our 4th line isn't exactly set either.

I think we might see him sooner than later. Three of those defencemen are RH shots, and Kaberle never shoots. If the PP struggles and Markov needs a LH one time buddy, Beaulieu will be waiting.
