Marek Hrivik

The New York Rangers just signed Marek Hrivik. Anybody who knows the Q or from Moncton - what kind of player is he? What is his potential?

One of the better forwards to come out of Moncton in a long time. Was much better than most of us expected, and greatly outplayed Kabanov when he was here.

Unfortunately for him, his last 2 years hes had just awful, awful line mates so he was doing almost everything himself.

Average speed, great shot, solid two-way forward but I really dont see any NHL future for him. Hes just not good enough at anything, solid AHL foward.

Can really shoot it; he's a sniper, but his overall skating ability is just too sub-par. As the other poster noted, he's probably not spectacular enough in any one area to make an NHL career of it, particularly stumbling a little bit over the last couple of seasons with poor talent around him.
