I think it's a only a couple of trolls/haters calling the Kings lucky, Devils fans have been complimentary.

Could be the humidity? Strange bounces on the boards too. Be happy your not playing the Rangers. Really crazy bounces along the boards and glass.

What is this humidity of which you speak?
Also mosquitos, what are those?

Could also be that the Rock is almost as busy as Staples Center.

Both teams play on the same ice so no advantage.

Congrats on win #1. It was a good back and forth game, and I think both teams showed some rust which should be gone for game 2.

Can't believe Fayne didn't cash in on that open net. :O

That's exactly what it is. We have the same problem in LA periodically.

Its got to do with the climate that needs to be maintained in the building this time of year, not the outside weather.

I think the Ranger fans are ****ing with them. I thought the Devils played a good game and the Kings pushed right back.

For a while it looked like they were playing at the Culver City rink where you can't clear the puck past the Zamboni door because it bounces the puck right back into the middle every time.

When Kopitar got it, I thought they would catch him but he just kept getting further away. Then I got confident it was time to posterize Broduer like he did to Elliot.

Not quite as bad but still very nice

It's awesome to still have ice in the building because it's like 15 degrees cooler, makes for nice work conditions.

back to happy thoughts

I know it is only one game, but I would rather they be up one than down one.

Now we have to wait until Saturday

it has to suck to be an opposing goaltender and see Anze cruising in on you with no D to help you.

Any one remember when Vancouver was still playing the Kings? Wow that was a long time ago.

What credit were you expecting? You don't get anything for one!

I just sent Fox Sports a bitter email lighting them up for showing Poker and UFC instead of Bob & Jim. What a *** disgrace.

Even though the Kings are up by 1 they need to play like they are down. I have seen this team get complacent way too many times in the past.

Good game tonite. Neither team was near their best . . . although the opponent had much to do with that both ways. Devs have to lay it all out in Game 2. And the Kings need to remember that '93 began with a road win too . . .

Game one road victory by the Kings puts them in an awesome position to win the Stanley Cup. #hnic #stillnotoverourloss
I love the last hashtag there. I'd love to see more from the '93 team add that to their tweets.

Loved that this team stayed composed even when the Devils kept mounting pressure on them. We all know both teams can play a lot better too. This was a very sloppy game overall, didn't think many players looked good from both clubs.

Kovalchuk was invisible, the Richards line had too many turnovers and gave up a few good quality chances. I thought the most consistent line was the Fraser line, particularly him and Nolan. Richardson needs to be stronger along the boards in supporting Fraser and Nolan when the puck comes his way.

Hopefully this first win makes them shake away the jitters of getting the first Cup Finals win out of the way and they start to play their usual puck possession game from here on out.
