Mistake. Hope the Habs take a look at him.

I don't blame Columbus on one hand, as his point totals have been lousy every year since being drafted. But he's almost a point-per-game in the playoffs and that has me intrigued.

Apparently he was always registered as 'Fast' in the civil register, according to his Swedish agent. Plus I kinda like it, Fast for Jesper and Fasth for Viktor.

Fast will stay in the SEL for another year, but he will attend prospect camp. Dahlbeck will play with the Chicago organisation.

Rangers have signed Marek Hrivik.

Quote:
The ‪#NYR‬ have agreed to terms with free agent forward Marek Hrivik, who had been playing with @CTWhale on Amateur Tryout Agreement
https://twitter.com/thenyrangers/sta...88620852477953

Hrivik, 20, had 29 goals and 70 points in 54 games with Moncton of the QMJHL. Hrivik was never drafted.

Curious to see if Rangers also sign Audy-Marchessault, who played with Connecticut and put up 24 goals and 64 points in the AHL.

Good no-brainer signing after this past season. Perfect first move by a new GM.

Flames Ass't GM John Wisebrod (SP) was just on the FAN 960 and said that the Flames will NOT be signing defenseman Joey Leach and he will be allowed to re-enter the draft. Somewhat suprising given the Flames lack of organizational depth at the position.

Good signing. Think he can really surprise some people. He was signed to an ATO and let Connecticut in playoff scoring. Pretty nice FREE addition if you ask me..

Thanks for the update. I kind of thought that, just because he had not been signed, and did not play in Abbotsford. I wonder if he gets re-drafted or dealt?

Can someone explain this?

http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....h_draft_p.html

Quote:
Pulkkinen (5-foot-10, 194) will attend Red Wings training camp but will spend another season in Finland. Because he played in Europe and was drafted in 2010, he is not eligible to play for the Grand Rapids Griffins until 2013-14.
That quote is linked and sends you to this article...

Quote:
By rule, Jarnkrok and Pulkkinen can't play for the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2012-13, Nill said.
Maybe they are just still under contract with their European teams? Otherwise it makes no sense to me.

The Anaheim Ducks have signed Ryan Lasch to a 2-year deal. Lasch, 25, played last season for Pelicans of the SM-liiga where he had 24 goals and 62 points in 59 games. He was never drafted.

Looks like Murray was paying close attention at the WCs. Here's hoping he can get Smith, too. A man can dream.

Oilers signed Brandon Davidson to an ELC. Davidson, 20, was a 6th round, 162nd overall choice of the Oilers in 2010. He had 13 goals and 49 points in 69 games with Regina of the WHL.

Every SM-Liiga contract has an NHL clause, so that shouldn't be the case with Pulkkinen.

That's all I know of the matter.

Well, he has tried to sign the guy who finished 2nd in the scoring league before. Can't see why Thoresen should not get his attention this time.

I know there was a clause in the most recent transfer agreement between NHL and Swedish Ice Hockey Federation about first round / non-first round draft picks (can't recall but might have excluded first round picks) and returning to Sweden to play if 22yo or younger (either under or including 22yo.) I believe the transfer agreement expires this summer but assume still in place at this time based on the little I have read about it. Maybe also true for more than just the Swedish transfer agreement?

He's never played in the NHL, he's eligible for the Calder Trophy, he's signed to a contract. Ergo, he's a prospect for the purposes of this thread.

Wonder if the Leafs will give Owuya a training camp shot/AHL contract since his brother is with the organization. They could probably use a spare body or two for defensive depth purposes on the Marlies next season.

Judging by his stats, it seems like he is barely ECHL material.
