Del Zotto for your top 4 RD

Rangers are stacked on D, but they have one problem though. They got Del Zotto, Staal and McDonagh who are all lefties and they only got one top 4 RHD, Dan Girardi.

So what would you guys offer for a 21 year old PMD top defenseman? He is a RFA, his stats this season:

Reg season: GP:77, G:10 , A: 31, Points: 41 +20.

Playoff: GP: 20, G: 2, A:8, Points: 10, -4. After his grandma died (during the Devils series) his defensive game went down and he made some mistakes.

He has a high ceiling.

Rangers need a top 4 RD, a rightie that is good in all zones. Good in his own zone and good enough to have on the ice when it's PP (powerplay) time.

Jamie McBain is the answer here. Let's make the calls.

Why not just bump this: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1196741

You admitted in the other thread that it was mostly about MDZ and Staal anyway.

Leafs would be interested if Schenn is moved. Opens up a spot on 2nd pairing RD.

Assuming Leafs don't sign Shultz of course.

What do you want?

TBH I don't know much about McBain, haven't seen him play. I've heard good things about him. What's his strength/weakness? Is he a 2-way D? defensive D, offensive D? How's his style of play. Thanks.

top 4 defenseman, RD (right handed obviously), under 30 years old and not a ridiculous caphit (I:E not Komisarek )

MDZ is my boy. So i'd give a lot for him. Any interest in Franson or Schenn? we'll throw in a nice sweetener on top of it

Franson, not so much if it's just Franson you gotta throw in the 5th OV for MDZ. Schenn is okay. Kinda big caphit, he's physical but he seems to have problem with the speed etc. Don't think I'd want any on them. Maybe Schenn depending on the + .

The defenseman you're looking for is Steve Montador

From the Leafs we have some RDs playing out of position. Franson comes to mind as being the offensive minded one that you're looking for but we'd probably add a forward prospect to even it out.

I think Schenn would be really good playing on the Rangers. i would be reluctant to add both Kulimen and Schenn in a trade. Maybe Kuli,Schenn for MDZ and a 2nd? Am i overrating here?

I think Colorado would be all about acquiring MDZ but both of our young RD (Elliott & Barrie) are unproven as of yet. It really depends on what your looking for. Unfortunately we probably are not good trading partners.

I wish..

Rangers will keep Del Zotto at all costs. Their handedness is irrelevant in the bigger picture as the blueshirts are built around big, shot-blocking, stay at home guys. A puck-mover like Del Zotto, especially since he's homegrown, will be resigned. Look for him to make $3-4m next year.

I think he'll get $3M, $3.5M at most. And I know he's our only PMD. McDonagh is severly underrated in that regard though. And as I said. If there's a similar player that's a rightie, we're very interested...

Next time read my post... cheers.
