Once the process begins, the early folks can let the rest of us here know what the exact available inventory is. It's really transparent compared to the other upgrades I had by phone in which you are relying on the mood, patience and reliability of the rep on the other line.
It's true some are definitely better than others. Fortunately I've been pretty lucky with those I spoke with...who were willing to put a few different sets of seats on hold while we discussed what was available and kept telling me not to worry about taking up their time as I considered my options.
We have been contacting the customer support for acquiring season tickets for some time and only gotten one answer back and when we said we would look at the 12-13 seating chart and think where we would prefer to sit they promised to call back the next day but never did.
Getting frustrated because we really want to subscribe to season tickets next year.

Finally got a hold of a sales representative and we put the deposit down. Said they are going to call somewhere in mid-july. We shall see who calls who.

Where are you looking to get seats? It might be tough to get 200 level seats your first time out.
Basically anywhere from 208 to 214 and 221 to 227.
Mentally we are preparing for using the deposit to a half-season pass or a mini-plan of some sort. But, let's hope they can find 2 seats for us.
Once the upgrade process starts, I'm sure everyone will have a better idea of availability in the 200's. Your best bet might be to get full seasons in the lower level and try and downgrade next year -- Just getting your foot in the door is the first step.

The lower bowl might not be a best idea financially. So, let's hope for the best. And if not, then not. Theres always a next year.

your not allowed to downgrade
the best way to get your foot in the door is to buy a single seat in the cheapest area possible then the following year add seats to your plan

I think there is a mechanism to downgrade, but can't recall the details that were posted here. One thing to consider, with a potential lockout to new year's, as many as 20 home games could be cut from the schedule. That would make a lot easier to swing if you have to buy more expensive seats

I still don't understand this whole "you're not allowed to downgrade" concept. Are you suggesting that once you purchase seats you are stuck with that price point for the rest of your term as a season subscriber? If I buy seats that cost $100/ticket and after a couple of years they are now going for $150/ticket and I can't afford them anymore I'm not allowed to relocate to seats that cost $100/ticket if that's what my budget allows? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

They want you to believe your not allowed to downgrade -- however they have made many exceptions (myself included).

Nothing this organization does ever makes sense. It's a ridiculous policy and after numerous emails and phone calls to my rep (after he ignored me for a few weeks), they finally retracted that policy and said downgrades were allowed in extenuating circumstances.

I put a deposit down in March and was offered playoff strips in section 312 this year... Hopefully I get offered something in the upper bowl which is (what I'm down for) because I really can't do more than $79 a ticket..
