This would basically be me after hearing the news that Lats scored another goal after not being signed by the Wild:

Actually, it's been confirmed he's looking for a short term deal.
that goes a long way toward reassuring me he knows what he's doing. If he can put up 30 goals next season his next contract is going to be a lot sweeter.

I can remember us being excited when Lats came to camp in great shape last year. Had nothing to do with the concussion, but just saying that I'll believe it when I see it. It's like seeing Butch. Being out nearly 2 straight years means you're a risk.

One year or no deal. Prove yourself first. If he's fine, THEN look at a multi-year.

Even Derick Brassard is happy for him.

EDIT: And Maxim Talbot, too.

Wild GM Fletcher: “Clearly we’re going to have to try and add some more NHL talent”

I like how he mentioned "NHL".

Wild with $30M in cap space for next year. Yeah, we've got some room. Good job by Fletch in not overspending on mediocre players (well aside from Cullen).

So, here's a list of players I'd like to see re-signed by the team. Of course, I could be wrong since I'm not in the Wild front office.

-Almond (2-way)
-DiSalvatore (2-way)
-Falk (1-way)
-Fredheim (2-way)
-Genoway (2-way)
-Harding (1-way; unless they decide to trade his rights)
-Kassian (2-way)
-Latendresse (1-way)
-McIntyre (2-way)
-McMillan (2-way)
-Palmer (2-way)
-Palmieri (2-way)
-Penner (2-way)
-Rau (2-way)
-Veilleux (2-way)

I don't really want to see guys like Ortmeyer and Peters with this organization anymore.

I liked Ortmeyer better than most any other player they needed to plug in last year...

At least with Ortmeyer and Peters they're pretty much known quantities.

Extremely meh on Ortmeyer. But I'd lean towards extremely meh.

I doubt he was trying to be specific, probably just mentioning a few of our prospects off the top of his head.

That was the one play I can remember from last year.

Also, check out Butch's excellent pass to start it up.

Very nice, that play couldn't have come against a more deserving team (especially if they get Suter and/or Parise come July 1).

It's that and the Heatley goal against Nashville where he batted it in from mid-air.

There's also this but figure it wouldn't be the top play.
