Why not? Parise is rumored to be signing with every team in the NHL........ except the Devils of course. ROFLcopter.

Seriously though, I'll put ~70% odds on him resigning in New Jersey.

Penner and Parise might play out the same way Frolov and Kovalchuk did.

70 seems low, id say its over 90 that he re-signs

frist thing la needs to is try and sign parise if they can penner and stoll proberly gone. I would offer zach 10 years 71 millon I would make him the top paid player on the team. If he don't take it then move on.I think we should learn by the kolvochuk situation and not get into a lengthy contract talks. I think we missed out on people that way. Its not hard to figure out what la is looking for this summer one top line lw and maybe a young scorer type for the rw. I think we need some picks as well. So im thinking loti and one of richardson /lewis / nolan or i hate to say it clifford. we need a frist or earlier second. we need more natural wingers in this draft We have to many converted centers on the wings.

Nope, I mean letting a guy viewed as inconsistent walk in order to pursue a grander target. We can sign Poni again afterwards if we wish, though.

oh and Stoll will for sure be re-signed. The Kings have noone to replace what he does. Lewis is the only other player capable on playing 3rd line C, but that is far from ideal. Loktionov isn't ready for that role either

Can I get the weather while you are at it?

I say July 1st there is a 20% chance of a Parise signing and 50% chance of rain in NJ with 80% humidity.

Seriously, what is with the percentage? How did you develop that number? And what is the other 30% attributed to? Just curious how people develop these theories and predictions on game scores. Aren't you the one that said "we'll know how the series is going to shake out after the first period of game 1". Does that mean the Kings are going to win now?

While I won't pretend to know the percentage, I do think he'll re-sign in NJ now due to their run, and I find that to be a good thing. Stay out east, buddy, lol.

Ultimately I see him fielding all offers on July 1st, and then choosing NJ, if they offer him enough $ and years. The only way I see him deflecting is if a really competitive team(s) offer him more money and years, and he ends up going there.

Ah, UFA period.

ya, really wouldn't hold my breath for Parise to go UFA. Devils just shelled out a ton to get Kovalchuk. They aren't going to just lose Parise without making a very heavy offer.

I can't seem him signing here. Especially with the Devils doing so well this year, they're not going to let him go without making a serious offer.

If the Devils win the Stanley Cup, then Parise will re-sign with New Jersey.

If the Devils lose the Stanley Cup.....I don't care what Parise does.

One thing is guaranteed, wherever Parise ends up, Pierre Maguire will continue to verbally ******* him on regular basis.

Assuming the Kings finish this thing off, I think management will still try to make a splash in the offseason. This team has a very Angels in 2002 or Giants in 2010 feel...getting crazy extremely hot at the right time. Those teams had very mediocre records the year after winning the world series. Based on their regular season play, there is still a lot of room for improvement (although that will come automatically by having Carter from the start of the year). This team needs to stay competitive and relevant...look at the Ducks now, their attendance is probably worse a few years after winning the cup than the years prior to winning

Call me crazy but the Ducks downfall could have something to do with losing these guys ...

... I don't think the Kings have too much to worry about losing guys like Kopitar, Doughty, Brown, Quick, Voynov, Richards, Carter ... heck even guys like Justin Williams, Willie Mitchell & Matt Greene are signed for several more years ... so it won't take much to tinker with and either sign UFA's or promote from within our own pool of stronger prospects {Toffoli, Vey, Loktionov, Kitsyn, Hickey, Forbort, DesLauriers, Jones} when and where we can to keep this team competitive for about another half decade and/or hopefully longer. that's the one thing Lombardi certainly has done right, built this team for not only the here and now but for the long haul hereafter ... it honestly does feel like the begining of a RED WINGS type of run for the next many years where we remain at the highest level of competitiveness while continually re-tooling and re-stocking as UFA's will want to come here, and our rookies will want to stay in the system longer for the chance to play for US rather then just bolt to try and make any NHL team or more money overseas, but time will tell.

What I got out of that article was "Kings will make an offer for him"....just like plenty of teams, if not all.

Pretty much, and he will likely pick between NJ, Minnesota and Detroit.

Brown and Parise are friends off the ice. You never know...

Quote:
***
Parise and Kings captain Dustin Brown have been teammates on various U.S. national teams and are friends off the ice, exchanging texts as recently as last week after each of their teams advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Brown made it clear early in Game 1, however, that their friendship is on hold for this series, sending Parise flying with a big hit in the neutral zone 3:30 into the game.

“It doesn’t matter,” Parise said of his friendship with Brown. “He’s going to go through anybody he sees with the puck. That’s the type of player he is. I was just looking for a deflection to get off the ice. I didn’t see him coming. So, I kind of put myself in a bad position and he followed through with the hit.”
