Anyone else from Mcgill graduating this spring? Thought it would be fitting in this thread since they moved most of the graduation ceremonies from the campus to the Bell center to avoid any incident with the strike still going on.

I have friends graduating this spring (I graduated last spring) and they were not happy with the convocations moved to the Bell Centre. They wanted their nice graduation ceremony, on a sunny and warm day, on campus. Kinda like I got last year... lol

That's how I feel about it also. At least I've had my undergrad graduation there.
WOW your gpa resets when you switch from Badmin to Bcomm?!?
THAT ****ING SUCKS!!!
My GF switched majors and I don't think her GPA reset.
Anyways, a GPA of 3 is pretty easy to get. Just study a little bit more than usual. I've actually gotten better grades in my last year than in the first year. Good luck man, you can do it!
I am so ****ed now.. I need a GPA of 3 to get into CA school and I already completed all the easy COMM classes and easy electives.
It shouldnt be hard to get a 3.0 man, thats only a B average.
In addition, I have always found it easier to get better grades in upper level courses. I think I have a 3.7 in my focus, and a pultry 3.2 in my electives and entry level poli sci courses. In addition, my GPA has increased every year.
I know people who do nothing in bcomm and have in the 3 range. I really wouldn't worry.
I also don't think your GPA resets. Are you 100% sure of that and can provide a source?
This is the response I got from an academic advisor:
"Hello,
This is a standard practice. You are in a different program now. GPA's do not transfer from program to program.
However, if your concerned about any interested parties reviewing your record, then I can tell you that it is not a difficult task recalculate a GPA.
Hope you will find the information helpful."
So I'm guessing they will take into consideration my GPA in the Badmin program when reviewing my record for CA school. I worked my ass off to get a GPA of 4.17 and I thought it was going to waste. I feel much better now

I find the opposite was true for Physics courses...
