Tweet from some dude from Le Journal de Quebec at the combine:

Kevin Dubé ‏@K_Dube
Trevor Timmins n'a pas dit grand chose, mais il a parlé en bien de Filip Forsberg et Alex Galchenyuk. #NHLCombine

''Timmins did not say a whole lot, but he talked positively about Forsberg and Galchenyuk.''

Get the feeling those 2 and Yakupov are his top 3.

Such a pleasure to listen to Timmins. Feels like you're getting some real insight into the process instead of generic bs. The guy is awesome.

Why anyone believes Timmins would show his cards in public is beyond me. If anything, anyone he singles out is probably lower than 3rd on his list.

Personally, I'd be shocked if Galchenyuk went top 5. The teams have too much on the line at that level to take such a huge risk. I predict a Kopitaresque drop from him on draft day.

Cause he is picking 3rd overall. A sitting pretty situation.

If his list is indeed, Yakupov, Forsberg, Galchenyuk.

He can either take whoever Columbus leaves.. or have his pick between the two. Im fine with this.

Timmins really sounds like he loves Forsberg. Talks about how great his family is, how great of a person he is, etc..

So the only knock on Forsberg's stock is hockey sense? Reading analysis from various sources, not sure I'd want him 3rd overall.

Forsberg sounds like an old man. If Murray is 6'1", I think Forsberg is closer to 6'3".

Yeah, but it's a weak draft, and there are scouts that say if Galchenyuk stayed healthy he'd be fighting Yakupov for first overall right now.

I'd be shocked if Galch didn't go top three...and whoever gets him is getting a major steal IMO (if he slips past 3 I mean).

That is the issue with him, can he be an offensive catalyst? Remember, he's still 17. He had a decent season in Sweden, but needs to assert himself more. He was very good at the international level. After Yakupov, Forsberg is the safest forward out there. No questions regarding injuries, effort level or size like with Galchenyuk, Grigorenko and Teravainen. And he's obviously a big step above guys like Gaunce and Faksa. That's why he's ranked highly.

Sam Carrier will not be signed by the team that drafted him, the Washington Capitals.
The Capitals selected Carrier in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He will be part of the 2012 draft pool. He had 13 goals and 43 points in 51 QMJHL games this season.

I wouldn't mind either of Forsberg or Galchenyuk. I used to be more pro Forsberg but right now I prefer Galchenyuk.

Watching the combine videos, I have to say that I'm really impressed with Galchenyuk, the guy oozes character and probably was the most intense prospect during the work outs.

More interested in Donskoi who is also going back into the draft. If mgmt can confirm that he still wants to play in the NHL, I'd be all over him with Nashville's 2nd.

His intensity on the bike made me dizzy just watching his head bob. And judging from his interview on TSN, it looks like he's expecting to be drafted by Montreal or Toronto given what unofficial sources have been telling him.

I feel like forsberg will be a point per game player 70 pts player. Which isn`t bad but Trevor projects players. Who does he think will project better than forsberg? other than yakupov. Maybe Galchenyuk?
