Don't have higher hopes if kadri or ziggy come back. They can't carry the team, but they will make the team MUCH better. However, i think many people are underestimating the current marlies roster. This game is like a trial run, they played together for the first time. Even norfolk didnt play that well. They are the highest scoring team and yet we limited them to 2
goals + 1 EN. This roster can still do a lot.
With Kadri and Frattin out we can't afford to only have 9 (productive)forwards out there. One of Mckegg or Abbot may provide more scoring pop and definitely help out on the PP.
Absolutely no reason to be dressing either of Orr and Rosehill for the finals. As shown tonight, nobody is going to bother messing with them. Lebrie was chirping them but ultimately took his fist sandwiches from Fraser.

And 42-24 shots in favor of Norfolk? This is gearing up to be an odd-man slugfest. Marlies NEED to cut down on opponent shots & start to use the PP which has been lethal against the previous opponents.

Rough game. Could be from the lay off. This series is very chippy though. Marlies need to keep being disciplined and letting Norfolk take those retaliation penalties.
All because of one game... He's a great player for this team and has earned his spot.
It's not just one game, I've seen him though out the year. The one thing that doesn't do is use his body(which is 6'4 232 btw) assertively or effectively enough.
Also in terms of our LW prospects D'amigo and Deschamps have both pass him IMO and Ross is on the way.
Man I hate not having Kadri & Frattin. Frattin IMO is the best player on either team.
Conacher gives him a run for his money, but I'd agree with him being the best on the marlies...oh well, no point crying over spilt milk
I don't like the idea of scratching both orr and rosehill...if anything I'd just try scratching one of them..maybe a fourth line of abbott/mckegg/orr for next game?
Engel I like a lot as a d-man but as a forward he's invisible..
