Canucks don't sign Jonathan Iilahti. Alexandre Grenier signs with EC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria.

I'm not sure how 11 points in 55 games in the AHL at the age of 25 is enough to get your first NHL contract. It will be interesting to see if the other ECHL callups like Steven Olesky, Scott Howes, Kael Mouillierat and Jon Landry will be rewarded with two-way contracts by the Islanders.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Habs signed/signed either Corbeil or Anderson.

They badly need goaltending depth.

I'm guessing Tyler Stahl, Ludvig Rensfeldt, Mirko Hoefflin, Stephen Silas, Troy Rutkowski, Alex Theriau, Corey Durocher, John Westin, David Elsner, Mauro Jorg, Randy McNaught, Brendan Ranford, Joe Rogalski, Sondre Olden, and Daniel Brodin had their rights let go since there has been no news on their signings or non signings?

I thought Brodin and Rensfeldt would have been signed

We didn't hear a single thing on Rensfeldt but given he was a 2nd rounder I am sure Hawks tried to sign him

Wonder if this is another Sweatt situation were he thinks he would be buried behind too much depth and have better shot somewhere else to make NHL

Hawks LW prospect pool is fairly deep with Saad , Danault , Morin , Beach , Paradis

Not necessarily. Most likely none of them have been signed, but sometimes info leaks out a little late. I think it was Cody Sol of Winnipeg last year where word of his signing didn't surface until the next day.

I have a question on signing bonuses on a prospects contract

If a prospects contract slides but part of his contract is a signing bonus for the year it slide, does he get paid that signing bonus even if his contract slides, and then that seasons signing bonus is taken off his cap hit?

Thats how capgeek has it for players whos contracts have slide a year. I don;t think they had it set up like that before.

Right now it shows that it slide but the player was paid his signing bonus and his cap hit would have been the total salary + bonuses divided by the 3 years. For the seasons after it shows they have the same base they agreed upon for each of the 3 years, and then the signing bonus for the next 2 years and no signing bonus on the last year and a lowered cap hit.

Jonas Brodin? Signed months ago, he will be in camp with the Wild and may make the team. If its a different Brodin, my bad.

The Hawks confirmed on their site that Hoefflin and Rensfeldt are no longer part of the organization.

Of the others you've mentioned, the majority of them no longer appear in their team's "In the System" section. The only ones that still do are Jorg and McNaught.

Tarasenko has signed with St. Louis.

Edit: He has agreed to terms, and will sign July 1.

The title doesnt specify which Br. Sutter carolina signed.
Brandon?
Brett?
Brody?

They have 3 sutters (all cousins of one another) plus 2/4 staals. There like Angelina's collection of foreign babies

Do players who were drafted out of the CHL but aren't signed by the team who drafted them, have to re-enter the draft or could they opt for Free Agency?

I realized after I edited it that all three of their Sutters begin with Br. It's Brody, by the way.

I am SO GLAD that Tarasenko is coming over to play with the blues, especially after that Kuznetsov situation.

Honestly, when I was watching the '10 draft and Tarasenko went up, that kid was legit beaming at being chosen. I've never seen somebody look so happy. He will be a welcome addition to the Blues.

Yes, signing bonus is a signing bonus; paid on the schedule it is set when the contract is signed. The slide doesn't re-average or re-adjust the signing bonus when the slide is calculated.

SKA has announced that they have signed Tarasenko for two year contract. Don't know what this is then. Alessandro Seren-Rosso guesses on his twitter account that this is "qualifying offer".

Its just a move to keep his rights if he returns to the KHL (as in the case of a lock-out).

Very intrigued by Tarasenko...I'm so tired of hearing about how great these young guys are going to be for several years and they haven't even signed. I want to see them on NHL ice...and the Blues are definitely on the come.
