And Iginla doesnt do the same? The guy is terrible defensively. Iginla isnt even close to Bure in terms of skill and talent.

He's just a better leader.

Malkin
Bure
Ovechkin
Thornton
Yzerman
Iginla

1. Lindros (healthy): no player like Lindros will ever come by again, he was literally good at everything hockey related except avoiding concussions.
2. Yzerman: brings those intangibles along with his elite playmaking, makes players better on and off the ice.
3. Ovechkin: people forget how good he was 3 years ago, in fact, he was considered by many to be better than Crosby for a while.
4. Bure: easily the most skilled player on this list.
5. Malkin: kind of like a mini-Lemieux, if only he used his size more like Lindros
6. Thornton: he would be higher on this list, but his inability to deliver in the playoffs hurts his stock
7. Iginla: great player, but I really don't think he even belongs in this discussion

TC's right this is kind of tough. I'm comfortable with where the last three are, but the first four are very difficult to put in order.

Love to see respect Big E is getting. There is only one or two other people I would pick to start a team with ahead of him if they're all in their primes.

Eric was a freak of nature.

Kind of a weird poll considering Yzerman had a better career than everyone else here combined.

But if I can get over that, by *prime for one year* I would go

Lindros
Ovechkin
Malkin
Yzerman
Thornton
Bure
Iginla

4. Ovechkin

7. Iginla

When things are almost equal, I tend to favor the center.

Did I actually see someone rank Bure over Yzerman?

I hope I was just skimming too quickly lol. I can see Lindros for one season being ahead, and maybe Ovies 65 goal year but some of these guys are getting ranked higher than Yzermans 155 point season?

I would take Yzerman on my team in his selke season over Bure anytime. Why is it that this board hypes up anyone with a nice highlight reel so much...

Stevie Y and Lindros are really a step above the rest IMO.
