You opened the can of worms for the real lawyer to tear your argument apart. The Devils legally covered their ass in NY and NJ.
As if you didn't know, lawyers write all the disclaimers out there...I think they know how to cover others' *****. They even have a guy with a law degree right in the office and, no its not PDB though he would be perfect haha.
I noticed Game 1 many tickets were pulled about noon. So 10-12 is where I think you'll find the best bargain but I am far from an expert. I like to look whats behind the lowest price ones. I bought at 175 for 3 on Thurs. because I saw the balconies drying up in the under 200 range, Tho keep the twitter open thats how they announced the release of the TM ones for Game 1(138.50) for club seats,,,are ya kidding me. If you dont have a twitter I think you can follow the Devils twitter right from the Web site. Remember bigger demand on a Saturday night than a Wed.
I checked back and their twitter and saw no mention of discounted prices. You sure it was the official team twitter?
Not that I advise it, I'm playing chicken today. Ticketmaster hasn't even been turned on for this game for a few days. No way they 100000% sold out and there's no stray tickets or returns out there.
For those watching Stubhub, I finally gave in and bought a table seat for $175. Market seems to snatch up any tickets that are $175 or below pretty quick.

If you're successful, please let us know; though I'll probably be doing the same thing.
Playing chicken also. I got TM, SH and Twitter apps going on my iPhone. Like a poster above, I couldn't find the post from the devils from G1 for the TM release. Was it thier official twitter or did they delete the post?
Some tickets just popped on TM. Presale prices though....for now. Not sure who'd buy them at those prices. Pairs still available for a lot less on SH in same sections.
This is pretty much what I observed for G1. Regular priced tickets available on gameday. Then at around 4:30 or so, the two-tier cheapies popped.

Is there any noticable difference in the screen when they switch over?

He's mistaken.
He probably saw fan tweets. I personally tweeted it out when I saw the $100 and $140 tickets to try to help real Devils fans that cant afford a zillion dollars per ticket, and I'm sure others probably did the same. Think about it:
Devils selling maybe 100 or so last minute tickets on TM for fairly cheap = filling the building, making a few $$, no big deal
Devils announcing an undisclosed number of tickets on TM last minute to entire fanbase for less than most paid = dumb

I don't know. For G1, I last checked at work around 4:15, and it was still presale prices. Got home and was on SH around 5:45 and almost bought a Goal Bar seat for $207 (after fees), but then checked TM one more time. Saw two tiers ($138 and $97). Bought a $97 and ran to the train station. Had I had my wits about me to realize the $138's were club seats, might have gone with those. But for $100, hard to argue.
Anybody have parking tips for someone who's never driven there before? I've only ever taken the train, but the weekend train schedule may not jive with last-minute tickets.

Cost? Best lot(s) for late arrivals?
the lot by Seton Hall Law is still $12. virtually impossible to escape, though, after the game. You'll notice it if you come in on Mulberry from either 21 or Broad street from the north.

Halsey St. $7, two minute walk to get to the arena. No traffic after the game.

Best lot is the Devils VIP lot, but it's sold out. You can buy their secondary lot for $30 if you want:
