This is awesome. The Kings are in complete control of this series.
I wouldn't say that. Kings got home ice now, but they have to give a better effort. The best two games have been marginal ones for them. Despite getting the wins.

Hopefully, the Staple Center can get them going. But do not count the Devils out of this.
If the Devils don't win game 3 I think we can all count them out of this. Even a split in LA and the series is nearly wrapped up for the Kings.

As much as i love watching the Rangers win, I just love watching the Debbies fail! What a waste of an ECF opponent for the Kings. The Kings seem to be playing with such urgency in OT.

For a Cup Finals game, that Devil crowd had to have been the quietest, most unenthusiastic building I have ever seen.

The Kings are looking the far better team, Could be fatigue on the Devils part but whatever it is it's nice to see them down 2-0

I agree, I thought the Devils were better but the Kings didn't give up much.
Kings D(especially on the transition/breakout)was sensational. They did a great job getting pucks out of the zone. Quick was Quick.

But the Kings forwards were asleep most of the game.

Dude half of the people there were local families who could get tickets at the gate. Not a hardcore fan base by any stretch.

Two more wins for the Kings and I'll have a happy summer. Will be nice that at least the Devils will have the 29th pick at the end of the day.

This. Even if the Devils split in LA, they're in an immense amount of trouble.

Honestly, we wouldn't have done much better. Unless Hank went into God mode. Its not like the Debbies haven't been competitive. Both games have been decided in OT. Debbies could very well be up in this series 2-0.

My immediate reactions to the game 6 loss:

****!!!

followed by:

(ruefully) at least we won't have to be roadkill for the Kings in the Finals....

Mid-January Rangers could have beaten anyone. Mid-May Rangers would have been stomped by the Kings.

Anyway, I think part of it is that the Devils put so much emotional energy into beating the Flyers and especially the Rangers that it's having an added effect. Either the Kings are just that good or the Devils don't look anywhere near as good as they looked against the Rangers.

Yea I really don't think we could have beat the thinks. I'm not saying the Kings are the dynasty Habs teams but theyre just too hot right now.

Yea but they're not!

Point is whether you win 2-1 in OT or 6-0 in regulation, a win is a win. They provide momentum especially when the next two games are on your home ice with a chance to win the Cup.

Kings haven't dominated by any means in the first two, and the Rangers can play these low scoring games with any team. Plus certain teams match up well against certain teams. By your logic since we dismantled the Flyers in the season series; and the Flyers dominated the Penguins in the playoffs; you would assume we'd destroy the Penguins in the playoffs. Not likely.

We matched up well against the Bruins, Flyers and Panthers. We didn't match up well with the Sens, Caps, Pens, or Devils.

What makes you think we would have matched up any better against the Kings? The Kings are essentially a better version of the Devils.

Styles make matchups.

But the Rangers didn't really dominate against any team they faced nor were convincing. They struggled against a quick transitional Sens team.

The had a hard time with a trapping puck possesion team(Washington). They lost to a forechecking, puck possession Devils team.
