It'd be nice if JJ could help them turn it around.
I hope JJ becomes "the guy" in Columbus. I hope they rebuild instead of retool. In three years, JJ will be in his prime and Columbus could have a real good team. They need to get rid of Nash.

Also just wanted to add.

I never really post much on HFboards. Mostly try to research about prospects leading up to the draft, digest all the free agent signings, and hover around here for a week around the trade deadline.

But as a Minnesota Wild fan, I just wanted to say congratulations. Two more wins! My younger brother is a huge, huge Kings fan. He actually started rooting for you when Minnesota lost the North Stars. He's in Wisconsin fishing right now but he's embracing every moment of this majestic playoff run.

Good luck for the rest of the series. Go Kings!

Kind of just stumbled across this:

http://www.dailynews.com/kings/ci_20...nson-i-have-no

Basically Jack says he doesn't care if the kings win or lose, sounds a little bitter, but can you blame him?

Where are all the Jeff Carter haters? Suck it hard and long critics, especially that tool, Craig Button.

I forgot about that 'in my opinion the Kings need defensemen' fellow. Would LOVE to see make him admit he was dead wrong. I guess he knows it on the inside though.

No one should feel sorry for Jack.

They LOVE HIM in Columbus, he is the man there (more than Nash ever was).

Jack will be the next Captain in Columbus, he is closer to home too. Also he gets to be the "GUY". Drew was the Guy here, and that made Jack play worse.

This is actually the second Stanley Cup that just slipped through Jack Johnson. He had an opportunity to sign with Carolina and join them for their Cup run but elected to return to Michigan. Then getting traded from LA to Columbus. Poor Jack. And I like the guy too, but the Kings wouldn't be where they are now had they not pulled the trigger on this trade. We're seeing how valuable forward depth is.

When his 7 year contract expires and he signs with the Red Wings...CBJ will win the cup.

After Murray was fired, trading Jack Johnson was just the icing on the cake.

Loved both moves and I'm so happy the Kings are 2 wins away from their first Stanley Cup.

Nothin' but love for JMFJ, but we were neck deep in defensemen and upcoming defensemen and it was a great trade. I hope it turns out to be one of those trades that works out great for everyone involved, players and teams, and it's looking like it might.

Craig Button has a huge hate ***** for the Kings. I remember when Murray was fired, he went on like a 10 minute rant on NHL Tonight how it wasn't the coach's fault at all and that the team was built completely wrong. It would be an epic rant to dig up now.

Everyone ripped on the Kings this year, Me included.....

But the Kings didn't give anyone any ammunition to be happy about anything(early on).

March to (right now) is just a different team. Still can't believe Sutter just turned this team around. Like a complete 180....

I wish some posters would come back that have vanished. Everyone is wrong in their life at some point.

No one is perfect.

Also I would like to Throw Dean Lombardi some credit. I think Lombardi went out of his comfort zone again (Penner/Carter). Kudos for Lombardi seeing the Kings needed a Guy like Carter.... That is tough for me to say, Cause I like to rip on Lombardi....A lot...

Yea, there's a very good reason Button is no longer a GM.

I wish Jack the best. But I don't think he's being truthful. I think he's going out of his way to try and show loyalty to his new team and that's understandable. I can understand the bitterness toward the organization, but if he really had friends on the Kings, he'd be rooting for his friends to win rather than saying what he has. Hell, you have Flyers front office and players who are rooting for Richards and Carter to win it. If he is being 100% truthful, then perhaps he wasn't that great of a teammate and friend after all.

I was wrong .... and right

This was the kind of a trade that DL had to make to salvage the season. I wasn't convinced that Carter was the final piece of the puzzle that would push them over the top - and I'm still not. While Carter has been a big piece of the turnaround, I think that the play of King and Nolan (and to a lesser degree Lewis) have had at least an equal, if not greater, effect. Having energetic bangers with some scoring potential has made it tougher to just concentrate defensive efforts against the top 2 lines.
