How is Bernier any more proven than Lindback, Reimer or even Scrivens for that matter?

Actually Vokoun is above the league average in SV% on his off year and he was even better when he played on non-playoff teams (facing a lot more shots on goal). Vokoun for 2 years would be perfect while Reimer and Scrivens are worked into the starting role. Vokoun himself said he sees a fit here in Toronto in this regard, in fact his agent the other day said he would love to be a Leaf.

Well first of all he's more proven then Scrivens and as for the rest he's a higher upside then Reimer or Lindback. The Leafs could also go and sign Harding (if Yzerman doesnt sign him first)

A 36 year old goalie who is coming off a "severe tear" to the groin following an inconsistent season.

Given Burke's history with goal tenders, I would agree, Vokoun is a perfect fit in TO.

Rather have Vokoun..........................he's not going to cost us anything but money. We need to draft Malcolm Subban. Something we haven't done in years is draft a goalie in the first or second round. God knows we need one.

Burke, desperate to make the playoffs in order to provide concrete evidence for the successful progression of his team, goes out and signs a 36 year-old netminder who is coming off a major injury. Like I said, I absolutely expect Mr. Burke to do this.

I have said it numerous times on these forums. I hope TO is not the trading partner for the Canucks.

But it's fine, twist it around if it makes you feel better about potentially landing Vokoun.

I don't see a lot going back for Lindback, atleast nothing too valuable. Yes I am a fan of his, but the guy does not have a winning record, even on an awesome team like Nashville, i'd take a Flyer but for a 3rd or something. I would rather just not spend assets on this problem and go with Vokoun. If not Vokoun and you wanted to solve the problem once for all you go with Luongo if the price is right.

There goes Vokoun. If Harding, Lou, and MAF? all dont go to Toronto, Lindback is the next option...

One down, three to go

I was hoping Linback might go to the Caps. Wishful thinking I guess
