agreed. The Devils carried a majority of the play in possession terms, but the Kings get the majority of the best scoring chances by exploiting the aggressive forecheck and pinching of the Devils with odd man rushes

Quick is just incredible

Is that your channel? If so, NICE! I have you bookmarked. That page is where I've been downloading the Kings post game shows.

One thing I haven't read is Carter only scores in game # 2 of a series. Vs blues, hat trick vs coyotes and now the game winner. Hopefully not the last score this series we need more from him.

Possibly. Or not to take anything away from Kovalchuk but if Kopitar doesn't cause that fluttered (deflected) shot than Quick may make an easy save or it could have gone harmlessly wide of the net.

Is it just me or did Devils not match the Kings physicality last nite like they did in game 1? I mean when Lewis is out there throwing big open ice hits you know one team is bringing it.

Doug Weight compared Quick's vision and ability to read a play before it happens to Gretzky last night.

My jaw hit the floor.

I didn't read the in-game threads either here or on the main board, so maybe this has been discussed before - my apologies if it has been.

Was Sutter switching up the lines during the game? At least once I saw King playing what looked like a full shift with Kopitar and Brown... and I thought I saw other juggles through the game. I know this might have been me not paying close attention to incomplete line changes -- that's why I'm asking people who know better...

Is Sutter juggling the lines?

Think it was after a PP/PK where the lines usually get a little jumbled.

Unreal that we were able to win against a good NJ team. I'm hoping that the time zone difference and the general fatigue will give the Kings the edge. NJ scares the hell out of me, Quick made some incredible reads on those deflections.

Pretty sure it has to do with injuries. Word is, Brown, Williams and Richards are all playing injured to some degree...one of them is apparently pretty serious. I think the serious one is Brown's shoulder. This is why he looks like about 25% the player he was, since the Hanzal hit.

The team asked the fans not to show up at the airport.

I have been collecting footage since the second round. Most of the stuff I have been collecting is 1080p HD, but some is in 720p as well. I have all the Kings games in this playoffs in HD, I have been gathering the fan videos (jmsalsa, etc.), intro montages from the various channels, post game shows, funnies that people have posted, articles, and so on. I basically want to document this run as best I can.

Anyone else doing this, or just me?

*edit* Right now I'm sitting around 100GB worth of data.
I'm SO thrilled someone is doing this. Thank you!

It's scary how slim the margin has been. The edge (literally) has been Quick. That extra .25 on his SV% has been the difference. I haven't seen the possession #s for game 2 yet but I'm guessing it was a bit more even as well. Still in the Kings favor though. The Kings have been just a little bit better.

I wouldn't say the Kings stole the game. I think both teams deserved to win. Both played well. Devils outplayed the Kings in regulation. Kings outplayed the Devils in OT.
