At first I figured the plan was to have him get kicked out intentionally but now you may be onto something else. Richards was obviously hurt in the Vancouver series and is probably still feeling it.

Either way it doesn't matter, several key players on both teams are playing through injuries.

Richards - Hasn't thrown his weight around since Vancouver.
Brown - Hasn't been the same since he got nailed by Hanzal and Smith whacked his legs.
Mitchell - Has been tentative and not as aggressive/physical.
Scuderi - See Mitchell.

Doughty, Kopitar, Lewis, Nolan and Quick have been doing their best to compensate.

Game 3 will be a repeat of game 2 as far as NJ is concerned. I hope the Kings get the same result.

If ever there was a reason to hope for a labor dispute this would be one. More time to heal

Scuderi (far left) kind of throws his arms halfway up but doesn't really hop.

Doughty is clearly healthy from his reaction
Check this out. Watch that link of the post game show, and fast forward to 13:50 of the the video. Bob Miller says the Kings are "14 and 2," then there is laughter. It's probably due to something off camera, but it almost sounds like a taunt in some way.

I think carter takes the draws on the right and Richards on the left side of the ice.

Williams definitely got kicked out on purpose to get some extra "rest". He was standing on the other side of the dot and pushed the devil.

If these injuries are big I expect an average performance next season. I think our wounded warriors need more time than October

I'm always surprised how many injuries there are after the playoffs. And knowing what these guys are doing with tears and breaks is just crazy.

Bingo, the minute you start discussing injuries is the minute you start allowing them to be an excuse.

Right and lately I've seen a lot of Carter draws.

He has connections to the Flyers, so I'm going to assume it's Richards. Carter seems to be moving ok so i think his foot is ok. Williams has been the typical Williams, moments of sheer stupidity and then he makes a beautiful game winning pass. Richards just looks a bit behind.

It may be easier to say who isn't injured!

1st line: Kopitar
2nd line: Penner and maybe Carter is close to full health now
3rd line: King (Stoll is perpetually injured due to his arthritic wrists)
4th line: Fraser and Nolan
1st pair: Doughty
2nd pair: Voynov
3rd pair: not sure, both guys look ok

Goalies: Bernier

Drewiske...for the same reason as Bernier.

I think Richards is concussed again. But this is the cup finals... Injuries are for losers, Chicks dig scars, and winners never complain.

He meant hits and aggressive play, I think.

Scuderi is either having a terrible series or is banged up enough to where he is out of position at times and skating pretty slow at times.

I haven't thought that. I thought he had a bad lower body injury but he's a trooper. Rub some dirt on it

Nobody has a concussion. If the Kings sent a guy out there with the uproar that's been going on about that the last few years they'd be railroaded and in a lot of trouble. IMO they're (plural intended) not so hurt that they're harming the team, so it's okay!

Yup. No one has a concussion, that is for sure, it's the zero tolerance era as far as concussions go in the NHL and NFL. Richards likely has a shoulder injury, would explain how he hasn't been taking as many draws and hasn't been able to shoot the puck very well.

I have noticed that as well. I know I will catch flak for this, but Scuderi is going into his last year on his contract and he has decent trade value still. They could get a decent pick or prospect for him. I bet Pittsburgh would take him back. Their D was abysmal vs Philly.

I think Muzzin is ready to step in and play at a high level and can take Scuderi's place. This would also save about 2.75 million, which could go a long way to bringing another high profile player in...or going towards keeping Penner or Stoll if they want to.

Muzzin is left handed and would fit right in.

These are my thoughts exactly.

Muzzin is very much ready to step in and take his spot and I believe that DL can get us a very good return for Scuds especially if we can win the cup. He will be a vet D who has won the cup with two teams so his value would definitely be up there.

I don't know. I really like our D pairings and not sure DD will be as comfortable playing with a rookie as he has been with Scuds.

I don't see any need to mess with the D pairings, especially the one that we are using against other teams top lines.
