Haggs and the writer of that article got in a little ***** fight that haggs started earlier. Haggs then went on to say that as long as his article gets page hits yadayadayada and that minihane should stick to sports he knows, baseball cards, etc.

Sounds pretty threatened to me.

It's more to do with the fact that it's nearing 1000 posts. They tend to shut it down and start up a new thread. But in this case, we'll just be herded over to the other Tim Thomas thread

Thomas should have gone down as the ultimate feel-good story, a journey good enough for an after school special. Instead, he'll be portrayed as a selfish quitter by people who clearly don't take enough time to hug their kids.
OUCH lmao

Wish I could say that wasn't predictable.

I've never thought much about Haggs. He states the obvious most of the time.
On the radio he's never come up with anything I'd call insightful.

Anytime I say something about Haggs it gets deleted. But I also watched that go down on Twitter and Haggs was handed a sure defeat in a sandbox scrap made only for toddlers.

Which article are you referring to? The one Kirk linked?

For someone who spends a significant amount of time dumping on people, Haggs is pretty touchy.

One year ago today, Thomas was a 3-2 loser against the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Final. You know what happened in the coming days. Thomas would give up just three more goals over the next five games, two after being called out by Roberto Luongo, as the Bruins made their magnificent run to the Stanley Cup.

Didn't have any problem with him then, did you?

But now that he believes something different than you do, he's Enemy No. 1? Or, at least that is how he's portrayed in some facets of the media. Funny, I thought it was your God-given right to have freedom of speech.

"Easy story lines," writes Kirk Minihane on WEEI.com, "but you and I know the portrait would have been different if Thomas had made it easier for himself by directly telling the media - instead of using Facebook - why he skipped the White House and why he's probably taking this year off. But he had no interest in doing that and the folks writing and covering this team couldn't deal with it. And P.S., it doesn't help that his political leanings don't exactly fall in step with plenty of the folks writing about all this."

Bin...

...go.

So you guys agree that Thomas shares some blame in all this, along with the media?

Because that's not the indication I get from some people but that is the position the article takes.

problem is the media is just all aggravated that Thomas doesn't go to them with the "news" and instead uses social media. They are sad because they are about to go the way of he dinosaur. They depend on breaking news first for hits...and most bring nothing to the table. Guys like Haggs really don't offer that much...Not like he's talking about prospects, or the draft...or really anything..

To me the article emphasizes what TT did on the ice as a Bruin, as opposed to how he's going out. To me, one is far more profound than the other. Kirk pointed out, as if anyone needed reminding, the media has had a ***** for TT since he outed himself as red team. And, have been on a mission to paint him as crazy, selfish, eccentric, etc... from the onset of TT-gate. Now it's a total field day for them.

Want to forget everything this guy gave you as Bruins fan? Instead remember him for how he went out, not to mention hurting your political feelings. Go right ahead. Personally loving the revisionist history around here.

As far as how he's going out. Yeah, of course TT is to blame, Peter Chiarelli? Possibly. But, not b/c he posts his decisions on facebook. That's just his way of saying ,|,, to the media. Which I think is hilarious.
