Fire Chuck (Not really)

this image proves he needs to be fired...

prospect rankings 2.jpg

ok so maybe i'm being very sarcastic, but damn looking at that list two years ago it just hurts to see, compare to where we are now.

BTW i love what GMCF has done and wish him to stay.

Just noticed Bulmer was under notables. He wasn't even ranked.

Makes me wonder who our other notable prospects were?

Yes, I know I could figure it out with a little digging, but I'm lazy.

Not that hard to make the jump when you keep missing the playoffs.

Which means that what right after the 2010 draft. So Leddy was already gone, and the new crop wasn't ranked yet.

Or if we would have traded away more UFAs at the 2010 deadline. Or if we would have gotten something of value for Johnsson. It goes on and on.

Conversely, what if we have started some guys in the NHL already. What if we hadn't traded away our best defensemen. Etc.

No, it probably just stops there. We'd probably be in a slightly better position going forward. It's not rocket science.

Brodin has made my ass **** pain of leddy being traded go away.

Still when Colton gillies is in your top 3 prospects and your roster has anttii miettinan as a top wing you have issues.

DR was herpes for this team/state

Might have been but man Fletcher really fumbled around his first two years. At least he corrected and adjusted.

If we had Leddy and Brodin, I think we would be better off but now we're scrambling to get another quality defenseman in.

So when someone is an irritating itch on his organization, we can now say he's a serious case of the derpes!

Get OVER Leddy people ... he is not the 2nd coming of Lidstrom like so many of you seem to think. If you can't recognize how the current Wild prospects pool is leaps and bounds ahead of any of DR's years, then I give up.

Relax. Were just focusing on the negatives, like decades of failure by our various sports teams have taught us.

It doesn't stop there. This organization never has gone into rebuild mode. Hence its always been behind on the number of draft picks/prospects and quality of them compared to a fully rebuilding team.

If people are not "allowed" to not get over the Leddy gaff, then why the heck are they allowed to get crazy about Brodin?

What person in their right mind would mention Leddy and Brodin in the same breath? You do realize those Wild fans who are still living in the past on Leddy are the only ones with anything positive to say about him? He's not a particularly good player. Fringe 3-4 guy who is making a strong case for being a bottom pairing player. He's young enough that he could still improve, but it's not like he's even meaningfully better than Spurgeon.

I know a lot of Hawks' fans weren't overly impressed with Leddy towards the end of the season. Like you said, there is still room for improvement. But he's not exactly a stud.

Leddy would add another quality defenseman and possibly another top 50 prospect to a stable of quality prospects and wouldn't put a dire need on a defenseman for this organization.

Than again if Barker decided to become a top 4 pairing, this organization might have done a bit better.

Barker was like a drunken mistake. Fletch had the beer goggles on that evening, and spent the following day calling his other GM buddies asking, "Why the #$@! did you let me go home with that?"
