Radulov is such a tool.

I really hope no team makes the mistake of signing this guy. Let him go back to Russia and play there.

Nashville gets 2012 1st for him and if he signs for the Rangers puts up +70 points and do not run over to the KHL starting the next season they get another 1st round pick (2013) for him. Deal?

You possibly get 2 1st rounder for an RFA player. It's gotta be conditional due to the flight risk etc.

Terms are: 70 points in his 1st season and no running to the KHL the following season.

I doubt that he would go back to NHL if he was offered let's say $5 million.
Two first round picks??? Nashville won't even be offered one, by any team.

Don't make me go Joe Pesci on your ass and say: "Are you SURE Ms. Devito?".

Under these circumstances, it is a risk for any club and nobody makes big offer.

Edit add: I did not read all the pages before this post, and did not see the warning a couple of posts above. Just in case it was not 100% clear, this is not a personal attack. It is humorous.

I agree completely. Obviously thats only if he signs but its a good deal for him. He is well worth a late first..

I really hope we can get one of Staal, MDZ, or Girardi for him, maybe even as part of a bigger deal. If Suter leaves, we're gonna need defenseman. You guys have the depth to lose one and still be OK. I wish we could get McD, but im not stupid enough to think that happens

I'm not great with value so I'm just going to throw out a bunch of deals and see what happens.

Radulov+Blum for Staal+Anisimov
Radulov+Suter's rights+(pick/prospect?) for Staal+Duby (cap dump)
Radulov+Ellis for MDZ+Hagelin
Radulov+Wilson+Blum/Ellis for Staal+Kreider/Stepan
Radulov+Wilson+Suter's rights for Staal+Hagelin+Duby (cap dump)

Like I said, just some random ideas. General form is Radulov+(Preds young D) for MDZ/Girardi/Staal + (Young NYR forward). Wilson could be dealt. Lindback, Halischuk, Sergei Kostitsyn, and Spaling could be thrown in.

While no denying Radulov's talent, he is just another in a long line of Russian players that think they can just get by on individual talent alone. Tortorella will crucify him the first time he floats or take a shift/game off. When that happens, I don't think Radulov will gain respect for his coach, he'll probably pout an whine all the way to the bank. On paper a low 2nd for his rights is a bargain+. In reality I think Sather & Co would be taking on a bigger headache. Look at what Torts did with an injured Gaborik in game 2 of the semis. Imagine the hammer he'd drop on Radulov. He does not have the mentality to win in the NHL.
And that's ok because at this point, Sather is more of the solution and Torts is more of the problem.

If we can add Radulov cheap enough, especially w/Gaborik apparently out w/rotator cuff related injury, on a short deal to make sure we're not locked into a head case --- just in case --- then fine.

And if Torts doesn't like it, that's too bad, we can get a solid pro coach with a less insane system quite easily.

I don't see how Nashville can get a 1st rounder from any team.

Probably 2nd + Prospect.

Because an RFA capable of 80 pts over a full season. If its true that the Rangers would require the ability to talk to him beforehand, a first becomes an underpayment, which is why I don't think that type of deal is the sort likely to go down.
