Palffy's Facial Injury

Not a broken cheek or whatever was said before, but he is doubtful for tonight's game against the Devils:

The Kings said that Palffy has two broken teeth and soft-tissue damage on the right side of his face after he was hit by a puck while on the bench with 3:15 left to play against Colorado..."He's real sore," King Coach Andy Murray said. "I guess we're going day-to-day right now."

There goes our best player... the injury bug strikes again.

Let's hope our young guys come through again tonight the way they came through against the Avs on Saturday.

Get well soon, Ziggy!

We are just lucky it didnt hit hs hand or his eye or something, maybe this means the injury curse is slowly diminishing

This is the true sign you know a team is plagued by injuries. When you look at an injury like this and say you are lucky.

I feel for Kings fans.

That's true.

I think as soon as the puck went into the Kings' bench, I knew it was going to be Ziggy that got hurt. I really hope this doesn't keep going throughout the whole freaking season. Let's hope all the injuries get out of the way now and we can have a healthy run to the playoffs with ALL of our injured guys back!!

Potential first line for tonight:

Frolov -- Cammalleri -- Brown

Should be interesting.

I wouldn't be suprised if he plays tonight. When he actualy got hit, he got up and was about to get on the ice but the trainer didn't let. I think if it was up to him he wouldn't have missed a shift.

Eric Belanger has a broken tooth and deep gash on his lip but will return.

They said on the Kings feed that Ziggy Palffy has had a fun filled day of root canals

Palffy, hit in the face with a puck Saturday, and Stumpel, out since Oct. 25 because of a chest bruise, sat out Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. They could return Thursday against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Palffy, who had two broken teeth and soft-tissue damage in the right side of his face, will have a protective bar added to his helmet around the jaw area.

"We're hopeful that he'll be in the lineup Thursday," Coach Andy Murray said. "If the swelling had gone down enough, there was a thought," he would play Tuesday.

Stumpel "didn't feel that he [could] play," Murray said. "Hopefully he can play Thursday."
