Bowman can't put a gun to his temple and make him put on our sweater.
I have no doubt Bowman had no interest due to having two goalies under contract but yeah, maybe at this point he doesn't view us as much of a contender as the Pens. The fact that we didn't have a spot open makes the rest of it meaningless though, it just wasn't going to happen simply because of that. I don't know what Bowman was thinking not seeing what was out there before committing to Emery (still shouldn't have signed him no matter what, but what backup goalie gets a new contract in season? Pretty much nobody, let alone someone who played so poorly, it hurts).

PIT needs to resign Staal, Crosby & Kennedy after next season - Letang & Malkin the following year.
They will take all of those players over Fleury.

If there is a chance, I hope Bowman adds him

I'm sick of people putting Saad in trade deals. Let the kid become good in Chicago..

If it gets the Hawks a true #1 goalie I am all for it, the Hawks have tons of winger depth and a severe lack of defensive depth and goaltending.

Kings fans where saying the same thing about Brayden Schenn, think their ok with that trade now?

I don't agree with trading Saad. He shows massive amounts of potential.

If our team gets better for sure, trade Saad. No reason to hope he will become what we hope he becomes when you can have a player that is that good already, signed and 25 years old or younger
