Seeing as how your response to my post is a complete non sequitur, I will choose not to offer an answer. Thanks.

Maybe it's because I know how it ends, but watching the replay it doesn't seem like the Devils carried the play early how I remember.

3,705. That's how many games the Kings have played in their history to date.

Who knew game number 3,706 would have so much importance and significance attached to it. I hope they can get it done tomorrow.

I won't be able to stop the water coming out of my eye. I'm not ashamed to admit that it was happening for pretty much the entire final 9-10 minutes of Game Three, just from the disbelief that this was actually happening, and the emotion and noise that I was hearing from the Staples Center crowd as the final minutes of the performance ticked away. It was like those last few minutes of Game Four against St. Louis, but even more so -- longer, louder, and more intense.

No way I manage to not weep if this holds together tomorrow night.

So many emotions and yet, I have no idea how to feel about this. I feel like this isn't the end and that there is going to be another round that the boys have to go through.

I am vacillating between total numb "is this real life?" moments and complete childlike euphoria. It's a total roller coaster. Can't believe this is happening.

There may be another round to this series. NJ isn't completely done yet.

Same, I haven't shed a tear, guess to me its not over till its over, granted I'm excited as hell but to me we haven't won it yet. I get nervous thinking about how it will be like either watching OT and waiting for the game winner or watching that clock tick away, part of me wanting it to go faster and another part of me wanting it to slow down and savor the feeling of what is happening.

Its been a long ride since I was 8 in '93 while I cried watching the wrong team holding up the cup, feeling bitter watching the _ucks hoist it in '07. If the Kings win it tomorrow it will be worth it, lowly 8th seed winning the Cup, beating the best teams in the West, and smashing so many records and stats for a Stanley Cup run. Can think of no other phrase but that it will be best Crown Jewel on a coronation that has been a long time coming.

I wasn't saying the Kings will win tomorrow. It's just so crazy the Kings are so close. It just FEELS like this is just another round.. not the finals.

I can't believe it's happening in what seems like light speed at times and an eternity at others.

I fired up the DVR and watched game 2 in Vancouver.... it seems like last season it was so long ago and yet I feel like I haven't had any time at all to enjoy this run - I'm sure because I'm still in disbelief and anxious about it all.

If anything I have a summer's worth of video to keep me occupied until training camp, which is only 3 months away.

I'm just hoping that I can fly out to LA for the official celebration if the Kings win the cup. Winning on Wednesday would help tremendously.

I fully admit this, i started crying like a baby after we got the third goal 16 years of following a losing team came out of me in that moment.

I have to fly to CT on Sunday for a wedding, so I hope the Kings win tomorrow so I can enjoy the atmosphere here in LA. When do you guys think the parade will be if the Kings do win it all? It's going to kill me if I miss it. I'll be so bitter at the wedding.

For those of you (most I imagine) that do not get the LA Times, they have been doing a special "Stanley Cup" pullout full write up for each SCF game. Lots of stats, stories and pix.

It's essentially the outer page of the regular sports section (so I can pull out the 4 pages of Kings & Devils and throw the rest away ).

This will be the first time the cup has been in Los Angeles and available to win. The only cup clinching game we've ever played in was in Montreal. The Stanley Cup will be in Staples Center. Doesn't get any bigger than this.

Yeah, that got me pretty good. Hadn't seen it yet.

Just unreal.

Someone please bump the "I'm calling it now folks, IT'S OVER" thread. That seems like a decade ago.

I think everyone on this board can admit to being wrong about this team at one point this season. There wasn't a single King (sans Quick) on the ice or in the office that didn't draw someone's ire this season.

Enough can't be said about Lombardi. Under pressure, with his job on the line, he made the right moves. We always ask this of our players, and we forget that the people behind the team face the same amount of adversity. Lombardi was a GONER if the Kings missed the playoffs. Can you imagine that kind of pressure, especially when you have no control over what happens on the ice? That's insane. And despite ALL of that, he made the moves necessary to get us to this point. From the big ones (the Carter trade), to the middle ones (calling up Nolan and King), to the small ones (quietly calling our Brown's leadership to light a fire under him). Just masterful GMing.

Lombardi will never be called "the Shill" or "Dumpster Diving Dean" ever again. He's earned the right to GM our team for another 20 years, despite literally every fan wanting him fired at one point or another. Bravo, Dean, bravo.
