His Penguins were terrible puck possession clubs. They survived on PP and goaltending, just like the Habs. In fact his 2007-2008 Pens were almost a carbon copy of the Carbonneau Habs of the same year.

As far as my recollection goes, Vignault, who we have pretty good evidence of being a good coach had similar to worse squads that were better and not enitrely dependant on otherworldly goaltending to compensate for 40 shots against nights.

BTW, where's that original article that said Patrick Roy was definitely going to be Habs coach and they would announce it after the Memorial Cup or whatever. I'd like to know who wrote it so I can ignore everything they say hereafter.
