Setoguchi and Wellwood?

She is referring to 2010-2011 season when Pavs played with Mitchell and Wellwood, while Jumbo played with Marleau and Seto.

Well, I mean that type of situation. As in Jumbo is good enough to turn anybody into a decent offensive player. If you give Pavs the better linemates, it would probably increase team scoring.

glad to know I'm not alone on the "pavelski should play at center" mindset....

thanks everybody

Oh ok. Yeah I completely agree with that idea. Let Jumbo work his magic with two lesser guys and give Pavs guys like Marleau, Havlat, Couture, etc to work with.

I'm happy enough with the head coach at this point, i'd be surprised given the hint if TMac was out. Might be what the team needs however...

DW never likes to admit his mistakes and doesn't like to waste team budget on "dead money".... with that said, I feel like we will have to endure one more year of Handzus on this team...

As excited as I can be for the summer and for "changes" to happen, I know I'm going to be underwhelmed and we're going to see the same boring team we saw last year.

I'll just throw this in there. What about:

Ryane Clowe / Joe Thornton \ Logan Couture
Patrick Marleau / Joe Pavelski \ Martin Havlat

I don't remember seeing Clowe with Thornton,... ever. What do you all think?

i threw this idea around a bit ago...

ppl dont seem to like clowe-joe-couture.... they say it's too slow (it's certainly not a fast line) but i wouldnt mind giving it a try

I don't remember exactly what it was, but I hate Clowe and Jumbo together. There's some reason.

Didn't they already try that with Mitchell-Thornton-Mcginn and it failed miserably?

Would you all trade Couture for Eller and the 3rd overall?

EDIT: Instead how about Clowe for Eller + a 2nd?

Clowe and JT together could have worked when the old Clowe was playing for us, the one that would park his arse on the doorstep and get nasty goals. The two of them would just board battle the entire shift, and poor LoCo would get knocked around the net (or behind it).

And yes, that line is way too slow. None of them are hard forecheckers. JT can kinda, but that would put him in an awful position on the backcheck which is where we need him.

What we need is someone like Michalek or McGinn who would get in deep and cause the turnover or pickup the dump, oh wait...them...

For the record, I completely disagreed with the Ginner trade. He's exactly the type of player this team needed/needs and we frackin traded him and the pirate away for nothing.

I'm voting Chris Stewart for spot XXX. Think it would be a great signing as I think he has loads of potential in the right system and has already shown prior to this season he can be a point per game guy and performs well in the playoffs.

Stewart would have be attained via trade or an offer sheet(Stl would likely match) since he is an RFA.
