Radulov will go back to the KHL where he will be the best, heartless player in the league. In the NHL he was just another player with top 10 talent, and bottom 10 heart. Please put this BABY to bed....

Any team that is looking to acquire Radulov's rights will discuss a contract with him before hand.

Wouldn't mind him on Datsyuk's wing as the third or fourth option. One year deal to prove himself. Would rather have him than Semin.

Of course, it wouldn't make any sense for Nashville to trade his rights to Detroit barring a severe overpayment.

I don't even know what people are hating Radulov for.

Weber ****ing sucked. Radulov should feel betrayed by Weber's **** play.

Radulov was their best forward.

Same thing with AK everyone bashing him but SK sucked.

sk has been bashed more on the preds boards than anyone.

radulov does take more heat than he should, though, i agree. but if you score a goal, yet give up 2 goals.. you are a negative. radulov is an elite talent but a headcase.. glad to see him gone.

btw, weber in no way sucked.... sk, legwand, fisher, hornqvist sucked against phx and couldn't score

I think that's why it's written "Conditional on him re-signing."

Honestly I have the feeling he never wanted to play for the Preds anyways... The system, the players, the organization and the coach never suited him. I'm pretty sure hes in the NHL next season and as bad as it sounds I don't think he even considered re-signing with the Preds prior to him coming back unless they won the cup.

You mean Suter? Weber wasn't bad.

I think this is part of his agents game. He didn't want to be in Nashville, wanted out Poile refused Radulov goes to the KHL - returns when he would have to play the fewest amount of games to play out his contract - getting suspended in the process. Now he's a RFA so the Preds have his rights - threaten to go back to the KHL - Poile has to trade you for something - Radulov goes to new team and uses the threat of going back to the KHL to leverage a large new contract. Boom Easy money.

I would never do that.

I would rather give up a 5th rounder... 4th rounder tops and a low level prospect such as Avtsin or such.

The 4th rounder conditional if Radulov signs.

Gionta - Plekanec - Radulov

That should be interesting.

so funny that your team trade Andrei Kostytsyn for a 2nd round last deadline...and now you're not ready to deal this pick for radu rights!!!!

Radu>>>>>> kostytsyn twins all night long

poor work etics, but so much potentiel...a 2nd round pick(conditional) is not high price!

Radulov said he will finish his contract in KHL this season, and will return to NHL after. So whoever he gets traded to, can't use him for a year.

Rinne, Suter, Weber, Radulov (with a head on his shoulders and good attitude) = a sick core.
Nashville won't be able to keep that core for a long time.

Radulov is as good as a goner.

If they can't sign Suter to a deal, I don't think Weber is going to sign a long term deal either.

In 2-3 years, I wouldn't be shocked if Nashville just had Rinne.

I don't get it. A baby? Good riddance? Pisses people off?

What exactly did he do this time? He was given a chance to play out his contract. He came over and did just that. Preds don't wanna sign him. He likes playing in the KHL and that is probably his first option. Where is Radulov the villain in this?

Could you imagine the prospect of Radulov playing under Tortorella?

How about his complete disinterest in backchecking that was highlighted during one intermission during the playoffs. If you cannot even pretend to care skating back when you could be involved in preventing a goal, no fan is going to support that player.

Wow some people really hating on Radulov here.
Is it ideal? Nope.
Is it understandable? Yep.

Imagine if the NHL was second tier league to the KHL.
Imagine if culturally, playing in a paid-league was LESS important
than representing your country nationally.

Would I take sizable discount to play in a country that I am unfamiliar
with in terms of culture and language? (Yes, Russia and the US/Canada
are QUITE different) Let alone, being quite far away from efriends and family.

People talk about players being 'selfish' for making choices based on money.
I think that's ridiculous.

I don't think too many people are in the business for passing up millions of dollars.
Don't forget the average income in Russia is significantly less than in the US and Canada.
(average income is about 25%)

So rather than being quick to judge, I think its better to try and understand WHY people
do the things they do.
