Random question....

Does anybody know if some of the celebrity callers such as Frank the Tank, and Mike in Attleboro are members of these boards?

If they did, I'm certain they would have identified themselves by now.

Did anyone get to hear what Adolfo's "crazy story was this morning?

I heard them tease it yesterday, and again on my way into work this morning, but I arrived at work just as that segment was starting.

It was frigging awful.

Adolfo's grandfather shot his father in the shoulder because he was pissed that he was wasting water watering the lawn.

Why they thought that would be an interesting story to their listeners is beyond me.

For some reason they think listeners actually care about radio personalities' private lives.

I'm pretty sure we listen to sports talk radio to hear sports talk.

If it's funny that's one thing. I enjoy the banter that they have, and like a lot of the stupid bits they do and funny stories they tell.

But this wasn't funny, it didn't involve anyone noteworthy, and it absolutely was not worth a 24 hour tease.

The fake Thomas press conference they've been doing on 98.5 is beyond awful. Who signs off on some of this stuff....

Felger and Mazz are un-listenable when the Celts are playing (Mazz is still bad-mouthing Rondo, even though he is the number 1 reason they are tied 2-2 in the ECFs) and Timmy is having issues.

I remember very clearly on Friday evening as I drove home from the T Mazz saying there was a 5% chance that the Celtics would win both home games. I'm unsure if he got **** for that yesterday as I've been listening to Pandora at work lately.

Crossfire I've seen you on here long enough to know that you can take a joke. And this is honestly a joke because I know you know the names and had a spelling correction but I'm going to have fun:

Turner and Hutch? Who the hell are them? Clearly you don't listen to Boston sports radio. On the Bruins flagship station there is a group that host from 6-10 am that is Toucher and Rich Show but you are clueless as there is no such things as a Turner and Hutch show.

Turner and Hutch. Next they will give us Flegger and Mazztrodamus.

Actually, I think they'd give us Flarsky and Mooch.

For those who are not huge fans of Gresh and Zo, who would you like to see take over middays on 98.5?

I wouldn't mind seeing Bertrand elevated to the hosts chair...and I would love to see (though I know it prob. would never happen), Matt Light as his co-host. I like Merloni, if they could ever pry him away from eei.

Anyone else people would like to see?

Probably doesn't want it, but Tom E. Curran would be great hosting a radio show in Boston.

I know people hate his voice, but a Curran/McAdam pairing would be the smartest show on either station.

not a big fan of the midday show but there is no way they ever get rid of Andy. I have a few friends in the sports radio/TV media and they told me that gresh is loved by the big wigs. The joke is that, they believe, he has dirt on one of them.

edit: I think Bertrand/Haggs would be a good replacement. Haggs is a hockey and baseball expert. They would lose out on the ability to talk football in the midday.

I wouldn't want anyone from the EEI sinking ship.

I really like McAdam. Even though he's a "baseball guy" , he probably knows more hockey than alot of the "Hockey Guys"

I wish TSH had picked up Pete Sheppard when (and if) he was available.

Betrand in first chair gives me nightmares. No thank you.

I'd like to see McAdam as a regular host. Love him when he's a guest, and he handled Mazz's Baseball Reporters show when he was out with his injury and did a good job as host, too. I'm a big Michael Holley fan, and I think that would be a pretty interesting combination.

What about getting some estrogen on the air? Wendi Nix comes to mind as someone that could be good (I love her). Not sure that Jackie M would translate well to radio, but she certainly knows her stuff.
