I really like McAdam. Even though he's a "baseball guy" , he probably knows more hockey than alot of the "Hockey Guys"

I wish TSH had picked up Pete Sheppard when (and if) he was available.

Betrand in first chair gives me nightmares. No thank you.

I'd like to see McAdam as a regular host. Love him when he's a guest, and he handled Mazz's Baseball Reporters show when he was out with his injury and did a good job as host, too. I'm a big Michael Holley fan, and I think that would be a pretty interesting combination.

What about getting some estrogen on the air? Wendi Nix comes to mind as someone that could be good (I love her). Not sure that Jackie M would translate well to radio, but she certainly knows her stuff.

I don't know why, I just saw on twitter that it was a no go.

I couldn't be less surprised though.

That's still pretty weak, even if it's not surprising. It's the station that broadcasts your team's games, and you've had what is considered a hot story relating to your goalie. Show up and do the interview instead of hiding, even if you'd just answer with cliches.

I almost don't blame him. He hasn't said much about this whole thing...his first "in depth" interview on T&R? I can only imagine it would be a disaster.

He clearly hates those interviews. I would almost rather he didn't even do them.

Anyone else people would like to see?
Sean McAdam, Sean McDonough, Eric Freede, or Sheppard.

I was thinking.. anyone know if the Celtics and Bruins radio contracts are up at the same time?

I wonder if it would make sense to a Bruins/Celtics swap. Think about it.. The Celtics would have CSNNE and STH to promo off each other. Not to mention the Pats do more stuff on CSNNE than NESN.

Plus, the Bruins would be in the NESN/WEEI/Red Sox group.

Pete Sheppard is horrible. The guy is everything I hate about WEEI. Total blowhard, talks over callers, condescending, and angry. He's exactly what they don't need at THS, IMO. Plus he already blew that slim chance when he went on FB and ranted about how TSH is run by morons who wouldn't give him a chance after he was dumped by WEEI. Not going to happen, ever.

Fully agree with the other suggestions though. McDonough had a really enjoyable show before 1510 went under.

I don't care if he hates them or not. He's the GM of the team and agreed to do a regular appearance on the flagship station for your games. Just because your team has some turmoil going on right now, it doesn't mean you can bag on your obligation. It's so weak. It speaks to everything that's wrong with society today. Don't want to face the music? Just bail. It's easier than actually doing what you agreed to, isn't it?

He bags on the appearance even when there isn't turmoil.

I don't know, I just think the whole thing is dumb. The interviews are never informative. You can sense the tension/disdain.

Why even have it?

Of all the calls they've had, I only remember enjoying 1 or 2, and it was when Chiarelli had a 30 second moment where he came out of character and actually joked around. I'm with you, I'd just prefer they not do them. T&R interviews are much better when they're littered with jokes and nonsense. They don't do well with X's and O's in interviews, they do much better with the Aaron Wards and Shawn Thorntons of the world.

Turner and Hutch? Who the hell are them? Clearly you don't listen to Boston sports radio. On the Bruins flagship station there is a group that host from 6-10 am that is Toucher and Rich Show but you are clueless as there is no such things as a Turner and Hutch show.

Turner and Hutch. Next they will give us Flegger and Mazztrodamus.
clearly someone has never heard of the Faster Guy

I agree. Chia acts like he has a stick up his *ss. Lighten up and maybe try and be a littler personable, the interview might go a little better.

Toucher and Rich aren't the guys I'm listening to for serious hockey information. Chuck is right - they should just stick to silliness with guys like Thornton.

Agreed, it would be a 5 minute back and forth of Chiarelli either saying "No Comment" or him being PC and not throwing TT under the bus in the hopes of this situation fixing itself. If it was off the record, I'm sure Chiarelli would go off on how pissed off he is about it, but he's not going to do it on the air.

Chai acts like he wants nothing to do with it, thats on him. I'm sure if he wanted it to
be a different tone he could tell the producer and Toucher & Rich would oblige.

I've heard them do some good interviews with Thornton that have been informative.

Someone doesn't have a sense of humor and doesn't get what I was even implying.

Nice try though bud.
