Not a problem guys! It's always a great time. We definitely have some guys on here who know their ****, and it makes for a great mock.

And overlords, I appreciate that. We all strive to be a bit more like Watsatheo every single day of our lives.

Nobody took Justin Kea? Or Michael Clarke? Bogdan Yakimov?

We have to start over and do it again, for the sake of credibility.

Seriously, always a little sad when it's over. Can't we do 12 rounds?

Andrew Ryan also needs to be picked in the real draft. I hope that the teams go way more than 7 rounds in the future....it sucks that ends at 7.....Miss the old days....

Draft Recap

1st round (8th overall): Teuvo Teräväinen
2nd round (38th overall): Dalton Thrower
2nd round (49th overall): Scott Laughton
3rd round (69th overall): Nikita Gusev
4th round (99th overall): Troy Bourke
4th round (113th overall): Chris Calnan
4th round (115th overall): Logan Nelson
5th round (129th overall): Zach Stepan
6th round (159th overall): Tobias Törnkvist
7th round (189th overall): Ryan Culkin

Absolutely satisfied with my picks. Really enjoyed having 10 picks this year.
Pretty impressive draft. TT at 8 is a steal, as is Culkin in the 7th..but the pick that really impresses me is Laughton. Hab fans should be ecstatic is he's available at 33rd overall and the Habs select him.

Very pleased with my draft. I actually took Non-Euros this time
Still mad at Habsfan18 for that Iafrate pick (guess he wasn't going to drop to me at 127, but I just couldn't use my 97th overall on him), but the guy does host a mean mock draft.

As did I. I mean, I watched him play all year and everything and left him on the table. I totally expect him to be drafted (almost every CHL Top Prospect has been), and should have taken him out of principle, but I had already loaded up at forward/LW and felt like swinging for the fence with a couple of European defensemen, lol.

Yakimov is late94, eligble next year. his birhtday is wrong on some site i have seen. He's one to watch for sure for next year. Typical whitesnkake pick. big-russian-center

I think most look at Kea's production and wonder what good his size would do at the next level. I mean, he doesn't strike me as the best skater. Clarke may very well be drafted, but I think seeing CSS drop his ranking so much scared the fantasy mock draft crowd. I forgot all about him, to be honest. As for Yakimov, isn't he next year?

Was just glancing at one of my note sheets, and realized that I meant to draft Matej Machovsky. Mark my words, that guy is going to be at least as good as half the goalies actually picked in our mock. I'll be interested to see if either of Linus Ullmark or Roman Will get drafted, because I see potential there, too, speaking of goaltending.

Another Euro that wasn't picked that I had on a list was Ales Kilnar. Nemec and Walker got picked, but Kilnar was actually the leading scorer of their team, lol. I love that he led his league in PIMs... good ol' truculence, amirite? Fernholm, Auvinen, Misyul, Kurth, Kulmala, Huovinen, Virtanen, Oksanen... lots of good ones left out there this year.

We left a bloodline out there, too. No one picked up Kristoff Kontos. I think that kid is about to break out. If I had one more pick, it might have been him. No wait, it'd be...

...Still can't believe I forgot about Zack Mitchell, but what are ya gonna do.

Same here. Probably the best part of doing these is looking back and seeing where all of our picks went.

And just like in previous years, there will likely be quite a few players who were drafted here that will actually go undrafted in the actual draft. Hell, in 2011 my last 3 selections all went undrafted.

Yep. And usually, the last three picks of almost every team don't sniff the NHL. I think considering that none of us are pro scouts, some of you guys do a damn good job.

Wait, so you're saying that all of our 5th, 6th, and 7th rounders AREN'T going to be steals?

That's something I love about these things. We all love our picks now, but in 5 years we may look back on this and be like, who the hell did I take in the 5th round and why did I think he was a steal?

In 2007 I thought I had a steal in Maxim ****ing Tanguay.

Was another great success, thanks to everyone involved and of cours habsfan18.

Considering how fast we finish usually, may be we can start a bit later from now on? Would give us a closer representation of the draft order.

Honestly, you actually did a great job. Fournier at 78 is a freakin mega steal. For me he's the best Québécois prospect of them all. I think the world out of this kid. And Girgensons that nobody talks about has everything to surprise a whole lot of people. Corbett is also a solid choice and you know, when I talk about the fact that you have to try to hit homeruns in the later rounds with REAL potential, well Rydahl has to be amongst that list. One of the youngest players this year, great size that goes with that as well. There's no way he should last at 168. Honestly, a really good draft for a guy who has 4 picks.

True. Not only that....but it would give me more time to be prepared ....I'm not even finished watching games and doing my list as we speak. Chances are we'd start again and I'd have a different list....I've come to learned about a couple of guys I didn't know enough. I'm incredibly late this year but I agree that we have to consider starting a little later.

I thought the world of him too. Just like I still think the world out of Maxime Sauvé who I thought was a steal by the Bruins and still think he will be a great player.
