I gotta say its the Kings missing so many golden opportunities, and the Devils being able to cash in on theirs.

Penner (x2), Gagne, Brown and especially Lewis have to score on atleast one of those prime chances.

Kings were gripping their sticks to tight tonight. This team clearly plays better on the road.

The GWG was just a big mistake by all three guys, first King turning it over at the redline, then Mitchell turning the wrong way and letting Clarkson walk into the zone and then whatever VV was going. It was not good defense.

DS did not handle things well in the final 2:50 (how much time was left when the penalty happened) he has Kopitar and Brown PK'ing in the final minute of that PP? Should have had them rested for the final 50 seconds, and then there is a faceoff with 1 second left, would have been a perfect time for a timeout to get Kopitar and Brown some rest, but instead they end up with Gagne and Williams out there in the final minute instead of a rested Kopitar and Brown. There was no way NJ was giving up a SHG on that PP, should have had Stoll, Lewis, Fraser whoever out there.

Devils deserved this one. Onward and upward. Hope to see Gagne play more, he was dangerous tonight.

I think he wants them to create a chance shorthanded.

That 4th game is a bugger. The team had some good chances. Marty played very well and the Devils weren't going to lay down and die, although I was hoping they would do that for us.
Lets regroup and keep that road record going!

In game 4s against the Canucks and Coyotes, the Kings played better than both those teams and still lost. Same thing happened tonight.

Oh well, win it in Jersey.

What bothers me the most is that the next game isn't until Saturday

Oh well.

I would have liked to see Penner try to do some stickhandling or something on a breakaway though...

There was just so much overthinking on the shots tonight. Sometimes the best shots are like Doughty's, just throw at the net and good things will happen.

Yeah, lack of execution simply killed us tonight. Even though it sucks, just close it out in NJ.

Honestly, would anyone really be surprised if the kings lost four straight?

I still think kings in six. NJ will end the streak on Saturday.

Going 1-3 in game fours with a chance to sweep at home shows immaturity.

Go kings go!

Kings deserved to lose with their pathetic forecheck tonight. They let New Jersey have so many easy breakouts because they were scared to outnumber the Devils down low in the offensive zone. It was consistently 3 Devils battling against 2 Kings forecheckers along the boards. That was a Terry Murray forecheck, not a Darryl Sutter forecheck. The third guy just sat high all night and watched his teammates lose the battles on the boards over and over again.

Anyone who has played hockey knows the number one rule of the forecheck is to outnumber the other team on the puck. The Kings just conceded all game. They keep doing that and we'll see another game here Monday night. And probably another game back in New Jersey next Wednesday. They need a much better effort on the forecheck.

As a Kings fan I think we all fear this, I'm already freaking out about one loss. Hopefully they play simple back in Jersey. If they lose that one then I'll be a bigger nutcase

23 missed shots by the kings. That is why they lost.

Devils at one stretch didn't have a shot for 14 minutes. Dominant.

I wasn't that worried coming into this series 0-0, I am not worried about 3-1. It's their elimination game, they have to be desperate and bring it all, and they did. We looked a bit nervous and shaky, which is understandable. Also a couple posts (grr). The Devils are here for a reason. Can't win every single one of them. Just need to win one of the next three, preferably on Saturday.

Still love my boys, and proud no matter what.

Losses like this make me think of more negatives than positives. It's such a buzzkill. I declare Game 4s are our kryptonites!

Let's break the all-time playoff record of most consecutive wins!
