Well there it is, horrible game by Mets infielders. Ike should be sent down. This game shows he needs to go.

Nice try, by the outfielders, and the pitching staff.

Nope, you can't have multiple blunders in close games. Nationals are a deeper/more composed team and they showed it.

Just blew it every way possible. Probably better they lost now than 4 or 5 innings later while destroying Hefner's arm. Had I known this was the result, I would have taken the loss in 9.

Had Orioles lost Yankees would've been in 1st place. Half a game back now.

Duda goes yard to give the Mets a 2-0 lead. Win would be huge here today. Don't wanna get swept by the Nats and head into the Bronx on a four game losing streak.

Yeah, but this series has shown what this team needs to do in order to win that division. They have to make some moves for arms, and they got to send Ike down to the minors.

Definitely need to make a move to acquire an arm out there and they gotta improve the defense. Defense will greatly improve whenever Tejada comes back though which unfortunately doesn't look too soon.

Duda at 1st should also greatly improve the defense.

Also Dickey continues his bid for the Cy Young today. He's been insane.

I meant as a whole. Duda is AWFUL in the outfield. In an ideal world, he's a meh 1st baseman or a DH. Getting him out of the outfield will improve the team defense.

Ike has been subpar this year at all facets, too, so it's not like we're going from Ike's first year as a potential gold glover to a guy like Duda- 1st base D will suffer a little but outfield D will improve a lot.

Going to Yankees game #103 tonight.

My dad could probably retire on the combined amount he's spent on tickets

Funny you bring that up since there's been news about the Yankees displeasure with StubHub lately.

Nice win for the Mets today. Needed it badly after dropping the first 2, and probably should have won Game 1 anyway.

And Phillies lose again

So when does Dickey start regressing?

Actually, I think once the Mets rid themselves of Bay, Duda moves to LF.

Mets inked Zucchini already. Nice to see them get him signed right away. In a ****** draft year, I don't mind the team going after safe guys.

I like what I've read about a couple of the catchers they took. They were really high on Plawecki, and the kid Nido seems to have some pretty good upside.

Don't know much about him but do you think there's a chance he starts out in the rookie league or A ball this year? Would love to check him out in Brooklyn.
