You could probably go ahead and start a thread for this, 3 years, $3.5 million. Whatever's cool with me.

Posted it in the minor re-signings thread, but that thread was for 11-12 and is pretty old now, so figured it would be more appropriate for this thread. Caps have re-signed Dany Sabourin, according to their site:

http://capitals.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=633217

Quote:
The Washington Capitals have re-signed goaltender Dany Sabourin to a one year extension, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

A poster in the KHL thread (Whom I assume has a source that they all follow but I can't) says that Erik Christensen has signed with a KHL team.

Not surprised about that. Wish him good luck in Europe.

HF poster Silverback said in the Minor Signings thread that Justin Azevedo was going to sign with Lukko of the SM-liiga and Elite Prospects is now confirming it.

Jakub Voracek's agent and Paul Homgren have said they are working on a new contract that should be signed around the draft

Michael Repik has reportedly signed with HC Lev Praha. Repik is a RFA

http://www.hokej.cz/index.php?lng=CZ...lanek&id=57407

Whats up with all the KHL signings being with Lev Praha?

Oh and Mike Murphy has signed with Spartak Moskva according to eliteprospects. Murphy is a RFA

Last but not least Brett Lebda is rumoured to have signed with Barys Astana

I'm assuming the Anaheim Ducks have used that $100 dollar buyout + waiver rule, Sebastian Erixon's contract with 1 year remaining (next season) at $900k was not picked up and he is now an unrestricted free agent. I don't see how else they could waive him for 48 hours and have his contract terminated since he wasn't picked up.

I guess he should be added to the list now but he is most likely going to go back to Timra but has not ruled out other Swedish clubs. Pretty much guaranteed his experiment in North America is over.

Updated the first and second post as best I could. Added a couple European destinations for players I'd missed (Mats Zuccarello (Though I believe he does have an NHL out clause), Fredrik Pettersson, Drew MacIntyre, Nathan Oystrick, Milan Kytnar). I also abbreviated the word 'Re-Signed' so the table will look a little nicer now.

I hope not, he really has a chance to make the Isles if he is fully recovered from his injuries. He looked great in his callup two years ago.

I wish good luck to Sami and Curtis with Lokomotiv... two great guys, hope that team can build something beautiful over there.

I was quite surprised with Curtis signing over there, I thought he played well with the Jackets, but they're getting a good solid player.

Couple of guys on Buffalo Sabres deals signing overseas for next year, both former 1st round picks, both courtesy of Elite Prospects.

Shaone Morrisonn who had 4 goals and 15 points in 65 games with Rochester of the AHL last year has signed with Spartak Moskva of the KHL. Morrisonn, who was a 1st round pick 19th overall of Boston in 2001, is scheduled to become an UFA this summer.

Dennis Persson, who had 3 goals and 7 points in 29 games with Rochester of the AHL last year, has signed with Brynas of the Elitserien. Persson, who was a 1st round pick, 24th overall, in 2006, is scheduled to become a RFA this summer.

Per Capgeek, the NY Rangers have signed Mike Vernace to a 1 year/2-way $525,000 contract extension. Vernace, 26, had 3 goals and 18 points in 65 games split between Norfolk, San Antonio and Connecticut of the AHL last season. He began the season as property of Tampa Bay but was traded to Florida along with James Wright for Michael Kostka and Evan Oberg. He was then traded to the Rangers along with a 3rd round pick in 2013 for Wojtek Wolski. Vernace was originally a 7th round pick, 201st overall, of San Jose in 2004.

I'm a bit surprised by this. Maybe him and his agent thought that he wouldn't get anything better than a two-way NHL contract this summer.

That's a player than I thought was Europe bound.

It's crazy the number of times he was moved in the past couple years. Not counting the two trades you mentionned, he was signed by Atlanta in 2009 after Colorado didn't offer him a QO. During the season, he was loaned to Hamilton while Greg Stewart was loaned to the Chicago Wolves.

His rights were traded to San Jose by Atlanta because Atlanta needed to unload some contracts after acquiring Byfuglien, Sopel and Eager. He didn't stay with the Sharks for long, he became a UFA on July 1st and signed with Tampa.

That's 6 AHL teams for him since 2009, he also played a few games with Tampa and he was part of the Sharks' organisation for a week. After all that, I thought that he would have been looking for some stability in Europe.

Per Elite Prospects, G Mattias Modig, who was under contract to Pittsburgh last year but did not play due to injury, has signed with Vaxjo of the Elitserien. Modig, 25, was a 4th round pick, 121st overall of Anaheim in 2007. He is scheduled to become a RFA on July 1st.
