Where do you want the Habs to finish?

I am of the opinion that rooting for the Flyers to lose to teams we are chasing (Devils/Bolts) is the right thing to do. The odds are slim, but it is still poossible that we can catch the Flyers!

I'd like for us to finish 6th, that is still reasonably possible.

IN THE PLAYOFFS.

I would suspect the Habs have about a 10% chance of finishing 5th as you are suggesting.
The Canadiens April schedule although spaced out looks fairly difficult.

beating NJ both games is the best thing that can happen. if it moves NJ to 8th, then it would even hurt ottawa.

I would root for the Flyers.... odds we finnish 5 are very very slim. The best senario for me would be to finnish 6th

7th or 8th.

I honestly want to see what this team can do against a top 2 opponent in the east.

Hey sooner or later, you gota play those top opponents, id rather do it sooner when the legs are there.

That's true, but with both teams legs down, i think a team like the sens or hurricanes would fair better due to depth.

But hey, we make the playoffs, ill be a happy man.

I think we could cement ourselves in 6th but 5th is out of reach at this point, realistically.

Won't get 5th, I would prefer 6th but we'll finish 8th or 9th.

I would love to finish 6th, but in all probability we'll end up in 7th or 8th.

I agree that would be the best road to the cup, play the 3rd seed not the top 2.
Ottawa and the Canes will be too hard to beat in the 1st round me thinks. Rangers or Philli would be a much better opponent. Hope for an upset wit h the #1 or 2 seed and then get the 4th or 5th seed in the second round. Is that the way we did it in 93? i don't remember

6th is fine with me as we would likely play the Rangers which would be a great playoff series and we would have a decent chance of winning.
