If the Leafs takes Faksa over Forsberg and Murray I'd lose it. Ignoring BPA that badly would be insane. Anything may be possible, but I think the chances are miniscule that the Leafs would take Faksa at 5.
My reasoning is they need a center more than anything, defense they have with Gunner, Dion, Schenn, Gardiner, Holzer, Percy. If in that spot they may be better to trade for a 1 C ? thank you for your input

They don't just need any center, they need a 1st line center with star potential. Faksa should be a very good player but most seem to think he projects as a 2nd liner.
More than anything Toronto just needs to take the player with the highest potential regardless what position they play.

Sorry if it came out a bit crazed, have thought the worst things the Leafs could do at 5 and that was one of them. Do think they need to draft a center, but if it's not one of Galchenyuk or Grigorenko there's no point since the ceiling won't be high enough. Either they'd have to trade up before they were both gone or take the best guy left and continue working trades to fill that hole. The overall thought of a center being a need was right though.

Leafs liked Faksa when they were 10-15th -- at 5th that's awful.
i feel in this years draft there will be 2-3 defensemen that fall (Murray and Reinhart) one player who rises to where no one expected (Faksa) and one player people who slides into the top 16 that no one expects ..(Laughton)...the draft is a total crap shoot and every time i see a mock draft they are all uniform and i just dont see it happening that way.
