Do they seriously not know what the name of the NHL package is? I mean, they could have easily searched on Google. I also have a question. For anyone who had GCL on PS3, are you allowed to use it on a computer, too? I wonder this because I would get it if I can watch on my Xbox and also my computer (obviously at different times).

I'm pretty sure you can watch the GCL on Xbox and PC.
Is it directly accessable with the Xbox, or do you have to subscribe to Microsoft's online service as well? I obviously have to have broadband to subscribe to NHL GameCentre Live on PC, but MS' online service would be one extra step.
Hmmm.... I'm interested. I've been thinking about reactivating my Xbox Live Gold account for a while now that I've got a stable job again, and this could very well be a very nice addition depending on how the service actually turns out.

Yes the PS3 GCL is just a PS3 app that allows you to access your online NHL subscription. There is basically 2 nhl options online and on tv. If you choose the online option you can watch it online anywhere with any device that can connect to the internet.
On PS3 you could always login to NHL.com threw the internet browser and watch that way. But there is an App to make it a lot easier.
However idk how it will work on Xbox it might be completely different

I gave up my cable and just got Xbox live again. Its way better value get a bunch of Points and you can just buy any tv shows you want
With the addition of GCL thats just a slam dunk for me!
This makes me very happy. I probably watch three times as much baseball as I normally would because I'm able to watch MLB.tv on my XBox 360 while I'm on the computer.

Will be a good move for the league. I bet there's a lot of people that would love to watch hockey but can't and this'll open up a new market for them. Can you play NHL on PS3?
I called Xbox Live and one of the reps said they intend on doing it once the lockout is over. "There is no point in putting it out for download if no games are being played" was what the rep said. She later said "Once the lockout ends, expect to see it." Of course its just a Xbox Live rep that answers the phones so I'm not sure how much she knows..
Wow this is fantastic news (obviously I missed this when it got announced).. Being an Xbox loyalist, I was so pissed that PS3 had GameCenter and we didn't.. I was just about to get an Apple TV for this but I guess I won't need to
Atm you can subscribe to NHL Game Center or whatever for $5/month on a blu ray player for example or PS3.
However why would you subscribe and provide your $ directly to those ******** right now? Honeslty show some restraint, atm all you can do on there anyways is watch games from the vault the majority of which are already up on youtube or google video or torrents.
