I never want to see Dan O pick another pitcher high again. I'd rather have a position player who at least makes it over another bust.

Now is that a scouting issue or player development issue?

So shouldn't the blame go on the coaches in the minors instead of Dan O'Dowd? Also some goes on the players as well like Friedrich became a fatass before this year. Matzek sucking but starting to pitch well lately, Weathers was unlucky with TJ surgery and never recovered.

Not sure what to think of the Dahl pick. But then again, when your minors is as horrible as ours I guess you have to start somewhere. I just feel like none of these guys ever pan out anyways.

Welcome back to 2007. Jeff Francis is back with the Rockies. Too bad he's been horrible since that year. To top it off, he's starting on Saturday after spending all year in AAA and put up very pedestrian numbers...

Kliz is suggesting the Nuggets trade Ty, Gallo, and AAA for Lebron... I wish

We'd at least have to add in Faried and 1sts

Still won't get it done. That's quantity for quality right there.

Read that article today.

Unfortuately that will never happen. Wishful thinking though.

Lawson-Wade-Gallo-Faried-Bosh Is a Championship caliber lineup, they'd also have AAA coming off the bench with all their other players they have now. They'd be as deep as we were, but they'd have two stars instead of none.

Im not saying they'd do it, but it would surely be the type of deal they'd need to make.

Ty, Gallo and Faried should do it.

That would make the heat a superpower team. That's practically unfair.

You really think that package will get the best player in the NBA? I'll just disagree there.

I don't know if it will, but if I was the Heat I'd take it. LeBron is great and all, but every night its either him or Wade running the show. With that package you can run a great lineup out there every night, and still have Haslem (or Faried, if you prefer) and Mario Chalmers come from the bench, which they are more suited for.

I think that the Heat has to get rid of either James or Wade. It's not working well enough. There isn't a true point guard, the rebounding isn't where it needs to be, and they are playing two or three scrubs out there every game. Not good enough. They need to get deeper and better.

Personally if I'm trading either James or Wade, I'll trade Wade and it's an easy decision. Wade is 30 and is battling some kind of nagging injury every year. He has a lot of wear and tear on those legs and I just don't know how much years he has left.

I also think if LeBron is being traded, they can get something better than what we can offer.

I don't think the Heat would want a "star" player in return for Lebron. They need depth, we have the most depth. The only other team that makes sense is the pace with Roy Hibbert as their main piece. Other than that, the Nuggets have the most "nonStar" assets.

Why wouldn't they want a star back? You're trading away the best player in the NBA, I would want stars back although you won't get the right value back for LeBron. I think Bosh is a great player but not a star, and Wade is getting up there in age. I think Howard is the only player I might trade LeBron for, and Magic has to add other players as well too. Anyways, this talk about LeBron is silly since he's going nowhere. It's like saying Pens will trade Malkin or Crosby

Of course that doesn't do much to help our opposition.

Just run out the clock on DJ this year and let him walk in the off season.

So basically after that we would have what LeBron had Cleveland...nothing, and then he'd walk after his contract was up and then we would have absolutely nothing...great trade trade proposal Kliz

But seriously I can't believe anyone cares about the NBA, its a complete joke. Every year Stern sits down at the beginning of the year and picks about 4 teams he'd be "ok" with winning the championship. These teams are based off a profitability. If you don't believe the NBA is rigged thats fine, but let me throw a few thoughts out there.

1. When David Stern first became commissioner in a press conference he said "I'm going to turn this league into the money making machine it should be." I wish I could find a clip of this but it was said so long ago I can't seem to find one easily. But ever since then the NBA has gone downhill.

2. Referees in this league have gone to prison over rigging games for gambling purposes, only a couple have been caught but I'm sure there are more out there.

3. This year you had 2 "old" teams and 2 teams with megastars on them in the conference finals. Both teams with megastars made the championship. Stern didn't want a finals that featured a bunch of old guys, so the other teams conveniently "won". Name the last NBA champion to not feature at least one megastar. Bet you have to go back pretty far. And over the past 20 years there really haven't been many teams that win that aren't either from a big market or have a few megastars.
