I agree that if Mason walks on July 1st, the Jets will target Hedberg to replace him.

Along with the Moose connection, he's also a former Thrasher, so he'd have some familiarity with the team.

The Ducks just signed Fasth to play back up. JDD is probably heading to the AHL/trade/buyout.

I'm hoping Desjardins returns to Colorado for another year as LE's starter and then competes in camp for the backup position in 13-14. But if someone offers him a NHL gig next season he'll leave I assume.

He was one of, if not the best, goaltenders in the AHL last season while he wasn't injured.

I can see someone picking up Yann Danis. Had a out standing year with OKC Barons, AHL Goalie of the year. He would make a perfect backup and may surprise some people and be a #1 goalie.

i really think that Harding ends up here in columbus...a history with Todd Richards will hopefully have meaning for him...

well if he's given a chance to start then they have a good shot. Did not know there was a history

I think Harding is the only G that could get a starting gig. Leafs and Bolts may need to make a trade

I have a feeling the Islanders will have rotating backups when Dipeitro is injured(or just plan sucks). The Islanders currently has 3 goalies who are 22ish who will play at Bridgeport, best goalie gets the callup(and they will probably send them back down every now and then to get some games in)

I don't think so, there was a rumour a while back that he'd be returning to his youth team TPS but he (or his agent, can't recall which one) denied it and said Niitty wants to stay in NA.

He still is, he was the best AHL goalie (save percentage of over 0.940 going into the all star break) when he was healthy last year, he has the talent to be a pretty good NHLer, but his injuries are his downfall.

What about Leclaire? Will he be making a comeback? If so would anyone take a chance on him.

There's a very good chance Bachman is traded at the draft.

I'm hoping Besko gets traded instead, but Bachman will most likely be gone.

*If* one of Luongo or Schneider get traded I can see Gillis bringing in a veteran backup.

He brought in Raycroft a few seasons back when everyone thought Schneider was ready. Raycroft won out in camp.

I can see the same thing with Eddie Lack battling it out with Gustavsson/Dan Ellis.

I actually *think* Chris Mason will come back to Winnipeg. But we'll see.

Didn't he already say that he won't be returning if he doesn't get more playing time?

Wild management has stated that it wants Hackett to spend one more year in Houston. We will either re-sign Harding or sign another veteran back-up.

Islanders aren't signing a goaltender. They have Nabokov and DP until DP goes down. When DP goes down, Poulin will be the backup.
