nah, he was slightly interfered with, but he got off the shot he wanted, so no need to call a penalty

I'm not liking Gagne in for Brown. Brown and his physical style fits better on that line.

The fact that they haven't had a lead or won a game since isn't helping the optics.
He was brought in when the series was 2-0, and played arguably the best of any king in game 4. Plus the 4th line is no longer being exposed defensively.

No problem with Gagne being in the lineup at all

Here is what I would do:

Penner-Kopi-Williams
Brown-Stoll-Carter
King-Richards-Lewis
Gagne-Fraser-Richardson/Clifford

Scuderi-Doughty
Martinez-Greene
Mitchell-Voynov

That call was the difference. Bad call + Bad Goal = piece of **** night.

Whoever that ref was should be fired. You cannot make that call in the SCF.

How we can have so many Cup winners and game 7 players and lose2 in a row is a joke. We lose on Monday, we lose the Cup. Reality.
Outside of the first goal tonight, it's ridiculous to say Quick has done "NOTHING" in these last two games. First goal was all on him but he's made some big saves tonight. Quick is making big saves and so is Marty. The difference is the Kings have also beat Marty clean and hit the post 6 times as well in these games. Those are the breaks.

Penner has also been very good. The whole team obviously needs to step it up and finish it off but relax man. We all would have killed for this team to be in the Cup up 3-2 with a chance to win at home 2 months ago. All they have to do is play their game 1 more time and the Cup is theirs. They can do it. Enjoy watching them try.

Brodeur is due for a bad game and the Kings are due to start hitting the net with some of their shots.

Kings have scored only one goal in each of the last two games, and that just isn't going to continue. They need to keep up the energy they had in the first 10 minutes of the 1st period; they were really taking it to the Jerseys.

Well, I didn't want to brave the idiot crowd for game 6, but I guess that's what I am going to have to do. ****.

I know the Kings have sucked for like 40 years. But we all need to calm down a little.

Quick always has a Strong game after he lets his team down. Quick is just that type of guy.

I expect a shutout for Quick in game six.

That is bold to say, but I believe Quick is just that good. So once again Quick is going to save the Kings bacon again.

Predict game Six is a 1-0 game with Quick stopping like 40 pucks. That would be a fitting end to the season. Also the one goal will be a dirty one with Fraser scoring it.

I haven't read any of this thread because I just don't have the energy. I feel like I'm being trolled. Wouldn't it be just like the Kings to go all the way, get up 3-0 only to loss?

Voynov and Mitchell again terrible. Seriously, wtf??? Quick's terrible play behind the net set the tone for the whole game and gave NJ life when the Kings came out hard and almost had the penalty killed.

Time to go drink myself into a stupor.

Kings had 60 attempts and only 26 shots on Brodeur.

Missing and getting shots blocked are killing the team.

Hard to be optimistic about game 6 against Brodeur, but I picked the kings in six from the beginning.

Devils are 10-1 in games 4-7. Kings must make it 10-2 on Monday.

This is pathetic, I've never seen so many people with so much doubt in their own team. Come on guys, let's stay positive. The game coming up is the first must-win game for the Kings in the playoffs, like someone said earlier, it will truly show whether or not they are REAL champions or not

I think Marty has sucked, he is getting beat a lot. The Kings have hit like six posts in the last two games. That flopping on the ice he does during break away's works fine against Guys with zero hands. But if that was anyone else, those are in the back of the net.

In the first two games Marty gave up some weak goals.

If it's any solace to Kings fans, only 7 Stanley Cups have ever been won in a game 5 situation.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement, but I'm prepared to lose sleep on Monday for the home game.

The lack of hitting is what concerns me the most. Either the kings are injured or they are a step behind the play. Penner and Stoll were throwing their weight around. Richards was trying but was falling down instead.

Didn't notice brown at all tonight. Didn't play the final 4 minutes. Probably injured.

Kings need to hit like madmen in game six.

Go Kings! Staples will probably be full of nervous energy.

If they out-chance the Devils like that two more times, they'll win 1 of them. The Kings were excellent in taking the 'first 10 minutes' out of the game. They need to get better chances getting to the net though, and not have freak goals go in off Voynov.

I'm going to do what I did when the Flyers had to play Game 6 vs. the Penguins. Drink a lot where things may just not matter. I also generally felt a lot better about things going into Game 6, although it was a noon start, so I didn't have to stew around for a whole other day.

I said after Game 2 that it came down to the Kings winning 2 of their 3 home games, with a free square for Game 5. If it gets to Game 7, both teams deserve to have 'anything' happen.
