The team is still confident in the post game comments, except Quick which scares me a little. He sounded really frustrated and self loathing. I sure hope he snaps out of it. The team needs to follow Scuds, Greene and Williams lead. Those guys still believe.
I'd rather be up 3-2 going home and having lost the last two than be down 3-2 going on the road and having won the last two.
The way the Kings offense has gone into hiding Quick is gonna have to post a 0 for the Kings to win. Devils get better late in series and have already won four straight once this post season. These guys are gonna feel even more pressure on home ice, Sutter needs to do something. Better yet they need to look in the mirror, or else there's a chance they go down in history as the biggest chokers of all time.
Quick's likely still pissed at himself for that pass which allowed Parise to score. That's the kind of anger that can turn into focus and drive for the next game. I hope that's the way he takes that frustration.
Now if we can just get Voynov to stop scoring goals for the Devils, I think we'll be better off
So much was being made about how similar this series was to Vancouver and Phoenix. I knew all along there were no similarities. Momentum is a crazy thing, that's why Game 6 is Game 7, we don't have a choice BUT to win that game. We need to have some positive energy around here, we all know how bad this franchise has been, so let's all enjoy the moment and realize we're ONE win away from the Stanley Cup. Stop being so down
This This.This. Many thought this series was going six, and guess what it is. 4 out of the 5 have been really close, and were still up 3-2 in the series and we will win this thing at home. I always believed we'd win this in six in front of the fans and I just know it will happen.

I like seeing people pissed off as opposed to the 'quiet confidence.'
Williams was with Carolina when they blew two chances to win the Cup, before taking it at home.
I'm literally biting my tongue on this line in the article, "Has adversity crept into the Los Angeles dressing room?" because of course the Kings just skated to the SCF without any kind of issues along the way.
But I'm glad they're pissed, too. Because if they're anything like me, being competitive and losing means you amp up and ramp down and then you destroy the competition systematically.
And then I read the article by Puck Daddy, and laaaaaaughed like a loon at Quick's, "You look at all the games, and three out of every four wins were 1-goal games. If you don't think we weren't tested in those games, you should be [covering] a different sport." Because thank you for saying what we've all been saying. Sometimes the press needs a little steel-toed stomp to remember reality a little better.
Half of the goals the Devils have scored have been absolute garbage goals.
My god, are you people new? Garbage goals are WHAT IT TAKES to win in the playoffs. Teams play SO tight that often times those are the only ones that go in!
Last I checked a garbage goal still counts on the scoreboard exactly the same as a beautiful one timer, a backhander off a break, or a perfect give and go.
Kopitar had a tough game. Looked like he was skating with a piano on his back out there. Hope he is healthy and energetic for Game 6. Williams carried that line tonight.
Well, that was my own personal version of hell. Subjected to constant highlights of my most hated team winning stanley cups in the past while watching my team losing against my most hated team in the present. And also being surrounded by Devils fans. Yeah, I am never stepping foot in that place again.
I hope for a Kings rebound but I think I need a break. I realized tonight that I was getting WAY too emotionally invested in this series and the losses and I think I need to take a day or two away from hockey. I'll see you guys, Monday night.
