Amur - 0
Atlant - 1(G Juuso Riksman try out)
Vityaz - 1 (USA d-man+ others signed)
Dynamo Msk - no one

SY Ufa - no one

Severstal - 1 (??)
Sibir - 0 (dont know status of Lehtera EDIT: resigned, Kulda signs)
SKA - no one
Spartak - 1
Torpedo - no one (club has 6 signed foreigners, but I am sure one will leave club. Club had problems last season with injured, it is a reason of 6 foreigners EDIT: Vesce out)

Many good signings here, but that unfortunately mean some players were sent packing because foreigner limits are still here. Who are some of the biggest names who left for other European leagues?

And Perrin and Dixon, two of SM-Liiga's top 5 scorers used to play in KHL but didn't really cut it.

Yes but Petruzalek was average in SM-liiga and star in KHL. Few players don't tell anything about league's goodness.

Safe to say you have high standards. League's 13th (3rd in playoffs) best scorer is average in your eyes. His stats have been improving for years, and last season was his best by far. Saying he was average is a wishful thinking.

And what happened with Weinhandl last season? Had a huge slump in point production. Can't he fit in Rziha's hockey?

Not so much TOI (15min/game) and specially his power play time was low. He's still better player than Mårtensson.

Of course he wont, Mäenpää is a defenseman that is supposed to produce and Topi is a defensive defenseman.

Jaakola is one of my favorite players playing for Luleå the last 10 years, I had really hoped that he would have stayed with us for a long time. He's probably the best defensive defenseman in SEL and he is extremely professional so I'm sure he will do very well in KHL.

KHL is more of an artist league. If you love dump and chase and physichal high intensy style, you will love SM-Liiga more, but if youre like skilled dangler then KHL is ur choise. Theres reasons like that plus most importantly the recent-fit, in addition to skill level, which decides how the players make it in some league.
