No way Grigorenko or Ceci fall that far.

Honestly can't see the Blues taking Slepyshev at 25th with Hertl, Kerdiles, Finn and Samuelsson all still on the board...

I can easily see Slepyshev as a good second-round pick, but I'd be very surprised if the Blues or anyone else took him in the late first.

My reasoning behind with the Blues pick was, STL unlike most teams now a days feel comfortable with taking Russians, Or at least they showed that when they took Tarasenko in the middle of the first round. He also has as much talent and upside as any forward around that slot so I thought it would be a good fit.

And I figured Tarasenko needed a buddy.

Cheers man.

And thanks to everyone else who's complimented(or even criticized it) for coming by and taking a peak.

Good to see a draft that differs from the norm.

Most years we see surprises and this inst unrealistic.

If it did pan out this way though id love Dallas to draft Grigorenko.

Those are all good reasons, and I don't mind the Slepyshev pick... I'm just saying that, based on my own understanding of the Blues' organizational needs and draft tendencies, one of the guys I named previously (Hertl, Kerdiles, Samuelsson or Finn) would be more likely to be the BPA for the Blues at that spot if they were all still available.

I'd love to get Slepyshev into the organ-I-zation, though.

And T-90 has Evgeny Grachev in St. Louis to hang out and do Russian stuff with.
