I could see the Oilers hiring him to help in their quest for yearly 1st overall picks.

It never stops!

We could use a doorman for the locker room in Montreal

Staubitz-White-Laracque would be a great line to roll out whenever the opposition plays three enforcers at the same time.

But like actually, I don't know much about Laracque other than that he was a good fighter who barely did anything in his last year in MTL. Would he be the kind of guy worth signing to an two way contract if he doesn't get an offer elsewhere, to have as an ahl tough guy now that Henry is gone, and call up if need be in MTL?

There is zero chance the Habs bring back Laraque, zero.

Totally agree. Whats the point of being the toughest guy in the land, if you never use it to your advantage. Laraque and his stupid honor code.

What was this honour code thing anyways?

Sorry, I wasn't really following the Habs that year. Did he refuse to fight?

So because he played under Therrien's coaching once upon a time, he could find himself with the Habs again? Not a chance. With guys now willing to drop their gloves in White, Staubitz, Moen, and Blunden, there is no need for a useless player like Laraque.

He'll be lucky to find any work in the NHL, as far as I'm concerned.

Fighters had to follow a certain "code." If you aren't willing to drop the gloves, it was a no-go. So if someone ran over Price, Laraque would swoop in, ask the guy if he would like to dismiss the gloves from his hands, kindly place his stick on the ice and engage in a duel of fisticuffs.

Pretty much. And since very few could beat Laraque and those that could barely played it meant Laraque was completely useless since nobody actually accepted Laraque's challenge.

Man, I remember how excited a lot of us were when we signed him. What a disappointment. Can't imagine we'd make the same mistake twice.

Laraque was a big tough guy when he was playing for Therrien in Pittsburgh. Perhaps this could work out on 1 yr deal...

I would be excited if it was the old Laraque because the old Laraque could actually play hockey.

Wouldn't lose anything inviting him for a try out. If he looks as out of shape as he did when he was here, let him go. If he looks good, give him a two way deal at the minimum.

Last year he played for habs, he didn't win many of his fights...he looked awful against Orr and Erksine, now it's two years later.

Screw Laracque, but I believe Staubitz-White-Blunden would make up a great 4th energy line next season.

Ya let's bring back a guy that was never truly interested in playing hockey for us, but was mighty interested in the lime light that he would gain from it to launch his off ice career.

The guy is not a hockey player by any means and brings absolutely nothing of value to this team. Not only that, but the guy is slow as molasse. By the time he got from one end of the ice to the other, the period was over.

The worst player in Habs history.

Remember when Gainey got the bright idea to put him on the 1st line with Koivu and Kovalev against Boston in the playoffs? Completely embarrassing.

To finish his career? LOL it was finished a long time ago, when he wouldn't fight. If you don't wanna do the only thing that makes you an NHL player, then wtf are you doing in the NHL.

Eit: Sometimes, I think Laraque came to Montreal with the only purpose of trolling this organization.

The guy was not even skating in the same time zone than his team mates...

I'm probably the only person who would like to see him back. 1 year league minimum of course.. but if he is 100% healthy, sure.

If he wants a 2way deal then there is nothing to lose.
