First Roy, Now Brodeur

Im not sure that this has been brought up but after last nights Loss I had to take a drive and get out of the house. I was thinking. If we lose this series we will have lost to Roy and Brodeur and in the process gave them each one of theirm 4 stanley cup rings. It is the Kings luck to run into the 2 greatest goalies of all time in each of their 2 SCF appearences 2 decades a part. Kings luck is to not get someone like Bryzgolov or any other Goalie in the SCF. No we get the two greatest tenders of all time.

just a thought I had last night.

You just got that? That was my concern when we were "deciding" between NYR and NJ.

We are up 3-2. Both loses were one goal games (with Quick in net).

Right now the Devils have some momentum but can be beat. The Kings were outplaying the Devils for long stretches last night.

We can do this. Brodeur of 2012 is no where near the Brodeur of 1995. He is beatable.

Nope.

The constant un-called interference in the nuetral zone by NJ is proving to be.

When to teams are pretty even, team with better goalie will win. We will win if 25 years old Quick will outplay 40 years old Brodeur. If this will not happen than may be Quick is not so great after all…

Not trying to single you out at all here Hatter, but you know what I'm getting of this ... I know we were up 3-0, but at the Start of the series hardly a single one of us thought we'd sweep these guys, I'm not sure if ANYONE did. The majority of people figured the Kings in SIX ... and that's what it's looking like will happen, provided the KINGS show up and play their butts off Monday night. So let's stop this feeling sorry for ourselves, let's stop all this doom and gloom.

I want to add we hit 3 damn posts last night and quick gave them a freebee. At least now they will win it at home for all those fans paying thousands of dollars for an eternity deserve.

That's why this is nothing like it was with Roy. 40 yo Marty has been beaten cleanly on a few shots and the Post Gods have proven to be his BFF the last two games. Countless ping ping pings, and zero execution from the Kings.

The Devils got what they wanted - luck on their side for two games. It's time for the Kings to break through and force luck on their side for game six.

I think we need to set up a meet at a local bridge so Kings fans can collectively jump off if they blow this.

We are not going to lose this. Have confidence in the team that steamrolled through the playoffs. The Cup is ours.

If feels a lot different from 1993. When the Kings were facing Roy, it wasn't just a few posts and what-not. It was perfectly executed one-timers and backdoor plays still getting saved. After one particularly ridiculous save on I think Kurri who was parked right in front of the crease and got a shot at what looked like a completely wide open net, the bench was thinking that there was just no way to beat this guy.

Canes Cam Ward has taken Mar-tan Brodeur out of the playoffs 2 times in the last ten years. (Canes Irbe has also done it 2002) Jonathan Quick CAN do it!

When the Canes won the Cup in 2006, it was game seven. Talk about nerve wrecking!!! or is it racking? Anyway..................atleast it was at home and now saying that, I have some advice. 2006 Stanley Cup finals game seven.......Canes fans did what a lot of college fans do around here. We stood up for the whole dang game and we WILLED that win!! No way was Edmonton coming into OUR BARN and taking the CUP!!

Something for Kings fans to think about. They made an announcement on the jumbotron before the game, that it would be great if the fans did it and we did. I believe it made a difference. Seems you can yell louder standing up.

GO KINGS! win this thing. 4TH win is the hardest. Looking forward to seeing the Kings raise the CUP tomorrow night!

Brodeur , the greatest that ever was. We are lucky to be able to see him play. If he can lead his team in doing something that has not been done since the 42 Leafs, then to me it cements his legacy as the greatest ever.

In the playoffs, the Devs are 10-1 in game 4's to 7's. just sayin.

I take comfort in knowing Roy wasn't 40 in 1993, and wasn't beaten cleanly on several occasions where the puck hit the post.

That and Jon Quick is not Kelly Hrudey.

Screw Mar-tan!! Rip the Devils' hearts out in Game 6 and show it to them.

That's the last time the Kings lost two in a row. Time to start a new winning streak.
